COME FOR A VISIT AND GIVEAWAY WITH AUTHOR VICTORIA VANE…

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE WE AT MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE WELCOMES EROTIC HISTORICAL NOVELLA AUTHOR, VICTORIA VANE TODAY!!

MEET VICTORIA VANE …..

DISCOVERING THE SIXTH SENSE by Victoria Vane

Thank you so very much, April, for inviting me to blog again with you at MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE.

This year been very exciting for me with releases in two different historical sub-genres, FORTUNE’S SON, a full length romantic historical novel written as Emery Lee, and A BREACH OF PROMISE, my first erotic historical novella written as Victoria Vane.

A BREACH OF PROMISE is a departure from my other work in both its light tone and high heat level. It  has humor, witty dialogue, colorful characters, a strong if uncomplicated plot, and high sensuality i.e. hot sex and plenty of it. Given that my other work is pretty much PG-13, I thought I would take this opportunity to explain how my “sex-writing evil twin” Victoria came about.

I’ll begin with the confession that I’m highly energetic, extremely impatient, and easily bored (strung like a violin on the best of days). The slow process of writing and publishing books is truly excruciating for someone like me and having to wait weeks or months to hear back from agents and editors on books proposals is akin to Chinese water torture.

Having said this, about nine months ago while experiencing one of these wonderful lulls, my sympathetic agent suggested I fill the waiting gap by writing something short. Me, write something short? (It might be relevant to note that my first novel began as a mammoth 189K words compared to the average romance at 80-90K words.)  I immediately wondered if I could even do it. But given the recent popularity of e-novellas, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try. Since my longer novels feature complicated plots and a number of secondary characters, I realized writing a novella would present all new challenges. Yet, never having balked from a challenge, I decided to give it a go.

My first draft of ABOP was a 15K word novella that I thought would be “perfect” for Harlequins’ UNDONE line of short and sexy historical romances. Unfortunately, after waiting three months for a response I learned that Harlequin didn’t agree! By then, however, I had submitted the story to several other publishers certain that one of them would snatch it up. Wrong again. I got several more rejections. Deciding then to write it off as a “failed experiment,” you can imagine my surprise (shock actually) when I received an email from an editor at ELLORA’S CAVE expressing interest in the manuscript I had submitted under their BLUSH (non-erotic) line.

It was an acceptance conditional on my willingness to further develop the romantic relationship of the story. Make it longer? (Big smile.) Sure! I can do that! The second condition was to amp up the heat level to suit their erotic historical (LEGEND) line. (Gulp!) Having never written explicit sex, the idea was daunting, but here was a golden opportunity to stretch myself as a writer. I accepted the contract with the promise to deliver a hot historical romance that readers would love. Easy, right? NOT!!!

After working tirelessly for weeks on the story, I happily submitted my revision only to receive 8 pages of notes back from my editor! I was crushed. Where did I go wrong? What was lacking?

While I had adopted the more graphic language used in erotic romance and had the “mechanics” in abundance, my editor described the weakness in the manuscript as lacking the “sixth sense,” better explained as the empathy or emotional connection the reader must feel, particularly during key moments of intimacy. In any great love scene, the reader must feel the emotion not just visualize the act.

Bringing genuine emotion into a story is one of the most difficult undertakings of any writer, but to integrate this into sex scenes is exponentially harder. It is a true gift when done well. Wanting very much to do it well, I set out to find authors who meld strong emotion into explicit love scenes, authors I wished to emulate. I read a number of beautifully crafted highly sensual stories by Robin Schone, Lila DiPasqua, Charlotte Featherstone, and Sylvia Day. Inspired by these wonderful authors and with a new shift in mindset, I re-wrote all of my love scenes. I can only hope my efforts have succeeded and readers will experience true passion through Marcus and Lydia in A BREACH OF PROMISE.

SYNOPSIS: A BREACH OF PROMISE by Victoria Vane  :

On the night of her betrothal, Lydia Albinia Trent receives just a taste of what ecstasy will be at the hands of her fiancé…and then he leaves her wanting for six years during their prolonged engagement. Tired of being neglected by her exceedingly reluctant husband-to-be, Lydia decides to break it off.

When Marcus, Lord Russell, receives Lydia’s letter requesting a release from their contract, he is stunned by her audacity and cannot do without her dowry. Confident he’ll have her eating out of his hand with his usual wit and charm, he invites his betrothed to London to repair the damage. However, the headstrong woman she’s blossomed into is determined to thwart his every effort to win her over.

In spite of her conviction to end the union, Lydia is more responsive to Marcus’ touch than he imagined. He just needs to get her alone to unleash the promised passion he sees within his wanton virgin. Marcus will use any tool in his arsenal to exploit her weakness—his kisses, his hands, his mouth…her own body. In short, he’ll just have to ruin her!

VISIT AND AUTHOR GIVEAWAY WITH CJ WEST AUTHOR OF “ADDICTED TO LOVE”…

IT IS OUR PLEASURE TO FEATURE AUTHOR OF “ADDICTED TO LOVE” CJ WEST TODAY….

WELCOME AND MEET CJ!

**Images from author**

Good morning,CJ and welcome to My Book Addiction and More today…

MBA:  Tell our readers a little about yourself?

CJ: Thanks for having me here at My book Addiction and More!  I’m a father of two girls; my oldest is currently learning to drive. I’ve written six suspense novels and I enjoy outdoor sports. In the last two years I’ve begun exercising and eating healthier and I’m feeling better than I have in a decade.

MBA:  What if anything made you decide to write “Addicted To Love”?

CJ: I began writing Addicted To Love at the end of my marriage. I was troubled by the failure of my family and at the same time, I have this shining example of love and companionship in my parents. I wanted to explore a place where everyone felt passion and love for their spouse the way my parents do. Of course there is trouble in Highland Falls, but it all began with the seed of undeniable love.

MBA:  What has been the most powerful thing you have happened in your life recently, if anything?

CJ: The most wonderful thing happened to me this year. I fell in love with the most caring and beautiful woman on the planet. She brings me the most overwhelming feelings of joy. Being truly known by someone is a feeling that defies words.

MBA: What is a typical writing day like for you?

CJ: My writing days really vary. For novels I like to get up in the morning and work most of the day. By that I mean all the time that I’m awake. I’ll do this every day while I’m drafting a new book. I also write murder mystery shows, which are less formal. I’ll draft those anytime my schedule allows.

MBA:  Out of all the stories you have written, which one if your favorite of yours so far, if any?

CJ: I really shouldn’t say this, but I have a special place in my heart for Sin & Vengeance and The End of Marking Time. Sin & Vengeance is an intense revenge story and the plot and the characters really speak to me. The End of Marking Time could be the most important book I ever write. It shines a light on the problems of trying to let our criminal justice system solve the social problems that stem from broken and underprivileged families.

MBA:  What where some of the challenges in writing “Addicted To Love”?

CJ: In Addicted To Love, the characters are hyper attracted to each other. The book could have easily become a teenage sex romp, but that was not my plan for the book. I wanted to explore real emotions and I also wanted the book to have elements of danger and suspense that would appeal to my male readers. I did my best to portray sexual relationships that grow out of love and so are shown playfully and romantically unlike many steamy romance novels. The characters is Addicted To Love are looking for love and not a good time. Writing this without having characters constantly in bed was a challenge.

MBA: Tell our readers where to find you and where your books are available.

CJ: I can be found on my website (http://22wb.com), on facebook (http://facebook.com/cjwestfans)

and on my blog (http://www.cjwestkills.wordpress.com). I’m also @cjwest on Twitter.

VISIT AND GIVEAWAY WITH MARY CHASE COMSTOCK AUTHOR OF “THE FOOL’S JOURNEY”…

IT IS WITH PLEASURE WE WELCOME MARY CHASE COMSTOCK TO MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE TODAY!!

WELCOME MARY!!

About Mary Chase Comstock(from the author’s blog)

Portland, OR, United States
Mary Chase is the author of a new mystery/thriller–The Fool’s Journey– and several Regency romances. She is also an educational technology/literacy consultant with a Ph.D. in Literacy and Schooling from the University of New Hampshire. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her Scottish Terrier, Irish Wolfhound and Brazilian husband.

The Writers Life: Character Wrangling

Characters are stubborn at best and out of control at their very worst. They don’t seem to care what direction I think I’m going; they take on a life of their own and just do what they please. Unless you write fiction, you have no idea how disconcerting this can be.

I didn’t experience this phenomenon until my second book, High Spirits at Harroweby. My protagonist, Selinda Harroweby (who was to have been modeled on William Congreve’s poem about “Pious Selinda”) has just fled to her chamber in a temper when there is a tap at her door. I hadn’t planned this, but thought perhaps the entry of a trusted servant would be a good opportunity to reveal back story. Instead, in walks a little girl in a nightcap. I had no idea who she was as first, but I soon learned that she was Selinda’s little sister, Lucy – and she had to be worked into the plot. As it turned out, she played a major role in the story and it became a much better book than I had planned

This strange phenomenon happens to writers all the time:

It begins with a character, usually, and once he stands up on his feet and begins to move, all I can do is trot along behind him with a paper and pencil trying to keep up long enough to put down what he says and does.

–William Faulkner

One of my standard — and fairly true — responses to the question as to how story ideas come to me is that story ideas only come to me for short stories. With longer fiction, it is a character (or characters) coming to visit, and I am then obliged to collaborate with him/her/it/them in creating the story.

                                                 –Roger Zelazny

On my one and only longish story my characters surprised me several times by explaining to me in words of one syllable how they should behave and what their back story was. It surprised me at the time. I suspect it’s universal.

–Geoff (from a post on a website for transgender writers)

It’s good to know I’m not alone, because it happened again this week. I am working on another mystery, The Ghost Doll. My protagonist, Liz Venables, is a sculptor. In the opening scene, she is working on a new piece for an installation. She is hanging upside from an overhead pipe and wielding a blowtorch to reshape some wire mesh. This sort of thing is hard enough to describe without stretching the reader’s credulity to the snapping point, but all of a sudden in walks someone – man or woman I’m not sure – who greets Liz, “Hey there, monkey girl?” Some character I haven’t planned for has just walked into the novel. Friend? Sibling? Soon to be ex? No one else spouts that kind of talk. According to my synopsis, The Ghost Doll was supposed to be a much darker book than Fool’s Journey, but here comes this clownish character changing the sultry tone of Chapter 1. What gives?

I have learned from experience to go wherever my story wants to go, so there I went and was appalled:. The new interloper in The Ghost Doll says his name is Oscar. Fine, but not just Oscar: his name is Oscar Maier. Accepting though I might be of auto-creationism in fiction, I could only shudder. Sure, the surname was spelled differently than the commercial product, but a character named Oscar Maier is necessarily a weenie. And why would there be a weenie in my lovely, dark ghost story? Unless the story had changed itself when I wasn’t looking. It wanted a little humor perhaps? It didn’t want to take itself so seriously.

In a way it was a relief. Spending the next year or so writing a dark book didn’t sound like much fun — and clearly the book agreed. Once I let Oscar into the story, it flowed better. Suddenly there was banter instead of all that tedious introspection. I discovered that Oscar was Liz Venables’ half-brother. Admittedly, he a weenie, but good-natured, not too bright, dangerously inept, generous, spacey and gay. Liz needed someone like Oscar in her life to keep her spirits up in order to confront everything I plan to send her way.

When writers have to chase after characters, it must mean their books are alive, and their stories are playing out almost independent of governing hands. Weenie or not, Oscar tells me I’ve tapped into the source and I’d better stand back and let it flow. Knowing that writers may have little more control over the story than the reader keeps me humble, and reminds me to honor the Muse, whatever weenie she may send my way.

ABOUT LEEANN BARKER:

An avid reader, reading approx 4-6 hours a day, I can always be found with a book or eBook. I like to run on my elliptical, go camping with my family and write. My favorite genres are romance, romantic suspense or thrillers, urban fantasy, vampires, demons, angels, shifters, BSDM, and general erotica. Simply put, I’m a jeans and t-shirt girl that enjoys an occasional deliciously tattooed alpha male demon lover to dream about!

CHRISTMAS MEMORIES/TRADITIONS FROM OUR REVIEWERS!!!

MEMORIES/TRADITIONS FROM KELLY ROSS…

My favorite Christmas memory would be as a child, the anxiousness and excitement I felt waiting for the arrival of Santa. Seeing all the presents under the tree and the amount that showed up Christmas morning after Santa’s arrival.  Now it is the look on my children’s faces when they open their gifts that they weren’t expecting. Then of course getting together with all the family. This year there will be 24 of us.

Thanks Kelly,what a wonderful memory!!

MEMORIES/TRADITIONS FROM LEEANN BARKER…..

When I was a kid, every Christmas Eve my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins would come to our home for the annual celebration.  Dad’s job was as the drink server and general MC for the evening with eggnog for the kids, hot toddy’s for the adults, and talk about loved ones past.  Mom would be all a twitter with making sure our home was clean, our food was aplenty, and for heaven’s sake, the children well behaved and well dressed (that would be me and my three little brothers).  So, with the house full of relatives and everyone’s belly filled, we’d all make our way to church for the ever-reverent Christmas Eve candle light service.

Every year upon our return home, miraculously we’d find that Santa Claus had left presents under the tree. My parents, as well as the other adults, acted so amazed and played up the thrilling discovery for us kids.  It was wonderful!  So much so, that I believed in Santa remaining innocent of the truth until my 13 year.  Yes, I know. You’re not thinking anything that my husband hasn’t relentlessly teased me about (his favorite is that I used training wheels on my two wheeler until I was 11. The truth is I simply was not that coordinated of a child).  Well, while still in my innocent state one Christmas Eve, at 12 years old and with little brothers of 10, 8 and 2 (he was the ooops baby), my father drove us home from church.  That particular year and two blocks from our home, who should be walking across the street but the the jolly old elf himself.  Yes, real life Santa Clause, white beard, red suit, black boots, sack and all.  It was him!  My parents were right all along, Santa Clause really did time his arrival while we were at church!!!!   My brothers and I were simply astonished!

As an adult, I surmise that “Santa” was probably on his way to a neighborhood party.  My innocence is long gone, as are some of my relatives, but I’ve retained that wonderful night in my memory.  Snow everywhere, tree branches hung heavy with ice crystals, family together and Santa Claus in my very own neighborhood!

THANK YOU LEEANN,WHAT WONDERFUL MEMORIES/TRADITIONS!!!

Thank you ladies, for allowing us into your heads and sharing your wonderful memories/traditions with My Book Addiction and More and our readers!!!!!

VISIT WITH ERICA JAMES AND PHIPPIPA ASHLEY AUTHORS AT SOURCEBOOKS….

IT IS OUR PLEASURE TO WELCOME ERICA JAMES TODAY AT MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE…..

WELCOME, PHILLIPA ASHLEY!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Phillipa Ashley, a travel writer in a former life,
>wanted to add as much authenticity as possible to her latest novel, so
>she dragged her husband along for a research road trip across England! > > > >Ashley studied English language and literature at Wadham College, >Oxford before working as a freelance copywriter and journalist. Her >first novel, Decent Exposure, won the 2007 RNA New Writers’ Award and >became a Lifetime TV movie. She lives with her husband and daughter in Staffordshire. >

MBA: Phillipa, what are a few of my favourite holiday memories?

PHILLIPA: Well, the first year I began writing fiction, Christmas almost passed me by! I’m ashamed to admit it now but that year, having recently discovered the joy of writing, I was so obsessed with my new ‘toy’, that I’m sure I didn’t show my usual enthusiasm with the decorations, cards and festivities.

These days, I still love writing but I wouldn’t dream of letting work get in the way of a proper Christmas break with my family. One reason is that my daughter now lives away most of the year as she’s studying at for a PHD at university. She’s coming home for Christmas at the weekend and my husband has just finished a very long hard year at work so I want to make the most of our time together.

Our Christmas tree is now decorated. We always collect a fresh tree from a forest centre a few miles from our home and set it up in the dining room where we all enjoy a family lunch on Christmas Day. Both sets of our parents come around and we all share in the preparations and cooking. My mum orders and cooks the turkey while my father in law grows all the vegetables for the dinner table.

Last year, my daughter had been to the traditional Christmas markets in Cologne, Germany and brought back a little ’smoking’  elf for the dinner table – weird but cute! We try to get a jokey present for the each person to open at the table and of course, we have Christmas Pudding, silly hats and Christmas crackers.

In fact, one of the jokes in my cracker last year actually gave me an idea for a holiday-themed short story. Yes. Right there and then at the dinner table, I had one of those light bulb moments and by New Year I’d finished the story.

Bet you want to hear the joke?

How does Good King Wenceslas like his pizzas?

Deep and crisp and even.

Funny really, how ideas come to you out of the blue just like the premise of Carrie Goes off the Map . I was listening to the radio one morning when the DJ played the old Yvonne Fair track, It Should Have Been Me. That’s the song where the jilted and slightly crazy woman goes to her ex’s wedding and shouts out when the preacher asks if anyone has any objections to the marriage.

I thought: wow, what a state of mind to get into. Would any woman really be driven to do that? What would make her so angry and upset? And how would she ever come back from that point? And the next thing you know, I’d written an outline and a book was born.

I wonder if any new story ideas will come to me over the Christmas dinner table this year?

Thanks for having me at MBA&M – I’d like to wish everyone at the blog and all the readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

WELCOME ERICA JAMES!

About Erica James: The author of fourteen bestselling novels, including >Gardens of Delight, which won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award, and >The Queen of New Beginnings (Sourcebooks, 2011), Erica James now >divides her time between Cheshire, England, and Lake Como in Italy.

MBA: What’s the hardest thing about writing romantic fiction?  Is it harder to write romantic dialogue or the actual sex scenes?

ERICA: That’s a difficult question to answer accurately because my UK publisher wouldn’t really define my novels as romantic fiction, they’re simply stories that encompass matters that concern us all, such as relationships, work and family problems.  I see myself as holding up the mirror to every day life, which, of course, does include sex and romance!

So to answer the second part of your question, I love writing romantic dialogue and I frequently do this with a light touch of humour as I think the two make a wonderful combination.  The same goes for sex scenes in my novels, which I think would be described as romantically written rather than full-on erotic.  For my style of book, both have to be handled carefully and lightly.  I think that so long as you’re writing within your comfort zone, it comes easily, and more importantly, naturally.  The reader will see through anything that’s been forced.

MBA: Do you think romantic fiction and ‘chick lit’ get the respect they deserve?

ERICA: If I had a pound or a dollar for every time I’ve been asked this question, I’d be as rich as Midas!   The answer is probably no, and I don’t see it ever changing, not when literary snobbery is such a deeply engrained mindset in certain quarters.  I think it’s a great pity that there are those who feel they should only read novels that are a ‘challenge’ and will describe anything else as enjoyable but an ‘easy read’, thereby damning it with faint praise.  Frankly, I have no time for such divisive attitudes; I read what I read because it pleases me and for no other reason.

MBA: Your website says you love to talk to strangers for inspiration.  I bet you’ve had some really interesting encounters!  What’s one of your favourites?

ERICA: This is not exactly a description of an actual face-to-face encounter, but an example of people-watching that came in very handy.  Some years ago while I was on holiday there was a couple staying in the same hotel as me and I was so fascinated by them, I was practically stalking them!  The man had the most incredible comb-over and smoked a pipe, he never spoke, and was permanently attached to his laptop, even while sitting on the sun lounger.  The woman had shaggy hair piled messily high on top of her head, and every day, drink in hand, she wore a swimsuit that was covered in diamante crystals and which was obviously not designed to go near water.  By the end of my holiday, and unable to resist it, I’d worked them into the novel I was working on at the time, appropriately called The Holiday – their fictional names were Silent Bob and Dolly Babe.

As I always say to aspiring authors, you never know when you’re going to come across something useful for your writing, so stay alert!

MBA: Do you have rituals about your writing – where you write, when you write, your cup of tea at the ready?  Do you change those up when you feel stuck?

ERICA: I have many, many, many, and here are just a few of them:

My writing schedule (when I’m not promoting a book or caught up in other activities that take me away from my study) is 8.30 a.m. until 7.00 p.m.  I drink endless cups of tea all day and always from a bone china mug, which I select with great care and use every day while writing.  My sons have grown up with my strange habits and know the score all too well and would never use one of my ‘magic writing mugs’ for themselves or anybody else.

I use the same pencils for making notes in the margins of my manuscript (I hate anyone else touching them) and use a fountain pen with blue ink for creative writing (if I don’t have my laptop with me and I want to write) and black ink for signing books.

I use the same red files to put my manuscript in and always have music playing when I’m writing, whether it’s the radio or a CD.  If I don’t have music in the background, I find it harder to crank up my brain and be creative.

Well, that’s the tip of the ritual iceberg and no I don’t alter things if I feel stuck.  Goodness, the thought terrifies me just thinking of it!

And now, some fun stuff:

Which are scarier: zombies or vampires?

Neither.  Looking at myself in the mirror first thing in the morning is far scarier!

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

A bit of both.  Depends on my work schedule.

Favourite footwear: sexy stilettos or sensible shoes?

Pretty ballerina pumps and gorgeous Baldinini boots with a comfy low heel.

Best meals: dining out or cooking at home?

If in Italy then eating out, but in Cheshire, I’d prefer to stay at home with something good on the television to watch.

More important (in life or in a book): great romance or hot sex?

Sitting on the fence again, a bit of both, please!

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you and your readers a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year.

Ella Moore, an artistic interior designer, promises herself that after seven wasted years with the man she thought she’d marry, relationships won’t derail her life again.

But when Ella appears unexpectedly in Ethan’s life, he find s himself turning to her for very different reasons. VISIT AND GIVEAWAY WITH CARIDAD PINERO AUTHOR OF “AMAZON AWAKENING”…

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE WE WELCOME CARIDAD PINERO TO MY BOOK ADDICTION AND  MORE TODAY!

WELCOME CARIDAD!!

Good morning, Caridad and welcome to My Book Addiction and More today…

MBA:  First, Caridad, tell our readers a little about yourself?

CARIDAD: I’m a wife, mom, lawyer and writer!  I was always an avid reader and developed my love of writing in the fifth grade when my teacher assigned a project – to write a book for a class lending library. I got hooked on the writing bug and could not stop writing!

MBA: What pulled you to write an erotic paranormal novella,if anything?

CARIDAD: AMAZON AWAKENING is my very first erotic paranormal romance I’ve ever written.  I’d been itching to try it out since everyone says I write sexy and then my editor asked me to do some for Nocturne Cravings.  I had a few story ideas in mind and I was off and writing.  It was fun, but the hardest part was making sure there was a romantic arc in the stories.  For me there has to be a happily-ever-after and not just one sex scene after another.  I was very happy to be able to have the physical intimacy be melded with a growing emotional attachment between Rey and Paola.

MBA: How do you feel your writing has grown through the years?

CARIDAD: I think I’ve really improved in how I describe scenes and people and that my writing has gotten really dark and edgy.  I love writing dark and edgy, but am also eager to do a lighthearted and sexy contemporary romance.

MBA: What is the weidest piece of writing advice you received that actually worked?

CARIDAD: Hmmm, that’s a tough one.  I haven’t really gotten any truly weird advice, although someone told me write poetry if I found myself stuck of how to describe something.  I do try that at times and it has helped on occasion.

MBA:  What is a typical writing day for you and how do you relax after a long day of writing?

CARIDAD: I work in New York City, so I get on the train at around 6, sit down and pull out my laptop.  I write on the trip and then when I get to NYC, I walk to my office.  It’s about a twenty minute walk, but it’s relaxing and there is always something fun happening in the city.  At my office I work on various files and counsel clients on legal matters.  When the day ends, I walk back to the train station and during that time, I visualize the scene that I am going to write on the train ride home.  I try to work out a few times a week and when I get home, I spend time with my family.  At night I’ll sometimes write, but I’m usually too tired, so only if it’s a really pressing deadline.  On the weekends, I write for a few hours every day in the morning, then do chores and spend time with family and friends.  To relax, I watch TV or movies or take a long stroll along the boardwalk.

MBA: With Christmas approaching what are some of your favorite Christmas memoirs family traditions?

CARIDAD: I totally love decorating the house!  We go and chop down the tree and then trim it when we get home.  We put up a Christmas village and have a big dinner on Christmas Eve with family and friends.  We always have a blast.  If people would like to see pictures, they can check them out here:  http://www.caridad.com/2011/12/13/holiday-blog-hop-giveaway-holiday-traditions/

MBA:  What is next on the horizen for Caridad and her writing?

CARIDAD: I’ve got another 5, yep 5, erotic paranormal romance novellas to do for Nocturne Cravings.  They’ll be out in February, April and June for now.  I also have THE CLAIMED, the second in the SIN HUNTER series, out in May 2012.  Then THE CALLING comes back in December 2012 and is REBORN as a fresh vampire suspense series in 2013 with Entangled Publishing.  I’ll be a very busy girl and I am loving the writing.

MBA: Caridad where can you be found and where can our readers purchase you books?

Readers can find me at www.caridad.com, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Caridad.author, and on Twitter @CaridadPineiro.  I love to hear from readers and look forward to making new friends!

Holiday Memories
It’s always been a tradition in my family from the time I was growing up until now that we decorate the day after Thanksgiving.  All the Christmas boxes of decorations come out and the entire family gets involved in the decorating.  When I was growing up I remember going to my grandmother’s in Louisiana and sitting in front of her white tree.  There was a light that they set in front of the tree that would turn and shine different lights (red, blue, green, purple) over the entire tree.
Decorations sure have changed over the years, but I watch my kids at my parents and hope they have the same wonderful memories I have of my childhood Christmases.  I don’t remember the things I got, but I remember the laughter and good food and great times.  And in the end, that’s all that really matters.
Merry Christmas everyone!
hugs,
Donna
