GUEST POST AND GIVEAWAY WITH BARBARA GASKELL DENVIL….

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE WE WELCOME BARBARA GASKELL DENVIL TO MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE TODAY….

MEET BARBARA GASKELL DENVIL!!

About Me(from the author’s website)

Born in England, I grew up amongst artists and authors and started writing at a young age. I published numerous short stories and articles, and worked as an editor, book critic and reader for publishers and television companies. My first marriage produced my three lovely daughters but ended with the death of my husband.
Many adventures later, I met an Italian, fell in love, and spent 16 glorious years with him exploring Europe and sailing the Mediterranean. When he died I needed a place of solace, came to live in rural Australia, and began writing full length novels for the first time. My solace has now become my passion.
With a delight in medieval history dating back to my youth, I now began to research the wicked King Richard III, but quickly discovered the fascination of looking past Tudor propaganda to discover the real man. I now write principally on this era, setting my fiction in 15th century England.
I also write fantasy, though this tends to be dark and adult, not fitting the mould of those fantasy genres popular today. No elves, fairies, vampires or evil wizards attempting to overthrow the empire.

Of course writing tends to be a solitary business, so it will be sheer pleasure to gain contact with other book lovers and everyone else online.

WELCOME BARBARA!

BY BARBARA GASKELL DENVIL (www.bgdenvil.com/)

Anyone who claims to have a book addiction is a friend of mine, so it is with great pleasure that I introduce myself on April’s fascinating blog.

I‘ve been writing since I was very young. I probably started as soon as I could hold a pencil. In my teens and twenties I wrote and published mainly short stories and articles in magazines and newspapers in England, and I also worked for publishers as an editor and reader for both books and TV scripts. But then my career lapsed when I got married and had three children including identical twins – rather a handful and kept me permanently exhausted. Later I expanded my horizons and lived on a boat sailing the Mediterranean for many years. It was only after my partner died that I came to live in Australia to try and start a new life. Now for the first time I write full length novels, inspired by the rural peace, bird song and beautiful scenery.

Publishing each new book is – as all authors know – a matter of the greatest excitement, and the greatest worry. It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned bestselling writer, or a tentative new self-published author, the joy and the pain are exactly the same for both. So it is with pleasure and pride – but also with those lingering nerves – that I introduce myself and my new historical novel SUMERFORD’S AUTUMN.

It is almost ten years now that I have been researching the English medieval period and in particular the latter half of the 15th century. This does not make me an expert by any means, but the researches have become a passion and I feel alive walking the dark alleys, cobbled streets and crowded markets of those long gone landscapes. I can smell the rancid waters of the polluted rivers, I can feel the bustle of the crowds around me, I can enter their candle lit deep beamed houses, dine with them and join their gossip. I know the troubled politics of their times and I try to understand the practises and standards. They enter my dreams. It is a period I adore and therefore it is largely within those shadowed memories that I set my novels.

I have always loved history, but I actually chose to begin my specific research into the 15th century because I wanted a colourful setting for the book I planned writing. Having once been fascinated by Shakespeare’s most dastardly villain, I decided Richard III and his era would make a rich background to my intended crime adventure. However it was only once I began my researches that I realised the villainous king was a nonsensical exaggeration. The more I delved, the more I understood. Indeed, even a simple interest in human nature was sufficient to bring greater insight. There was no logical sense to the rather absurd picture some historians and authors try to paint of the wicked Richard. He just didn’t ring true. Original documentation is scarce but sufficient survives to tell a far more intriguing and believable story. So over the intervening years I have discovered a very different Richard – a real man of faults and virtues who would logically follow certain courses of action – and probably not others.

My new novel SUMERFORD’S AUTUMN (available now on Amazon Kindle) leads directly from these researches, for it is set in the early years of the Tudor reign which followed after Richard III’s death in battle at Bosworth (1485). My book is therefore concerned with the turmoil of the changing politics, the new king’s distrust of all those who supported the previous regime, and in particular the appearance of a young man who claimed to be one of the so-called ‘Princes in the Tower’ (their death was never proved nor ever conclusive) – and who the king, Henry Tudor, called ‘Perkin Warbeck’. I follow his eventual fate, and the fate of those who believed in him and tried to help him claim the throne.

But my novel is certainly no history lesson.  The plot concerns the family of Sumerford, four sons of the earl and his countess who live in a great draughty castle in Somerset. It is the various diverse adventures of these four brothers which comprise my story, and in particular those of the youngest son who is the book’s hero. As well as politics, there is considerable mystery and intrigue with all the danger of treason and treachery, piracy, conspiracy, torture and execution – and, of course, plenty of romance! I love to sketch the details of medieval life, the amazing differences of everyday existence from cottage to palace, and create believable characters of that era.

One of my own more interesting peculiarities is my dream life – my dreams are incredibly vivid and complicated – and I always remember them. So would anyone care to enter my dream world, and walk hand in hand with me?    ————–

Thank you Barbara for taking the time out of your busy day to spend with us and our readers. What a wonderful dream!

SUMERFORD’S AUTUMN(from the author)

          Chapter one

The boy died at once, one quick smash to the skull, another to the chest. His bones caved in, his life went out. An hour after the boy was killed, they found the bramble thorns; one spike still wedged up hard into the horse’s hoof. Another had been kicked free and was found later in the straw.

Ned and the under groom were sweeping up bloody shards of bone as the late September warmth oozed like melted butter over the hills beyond the castle turrets, steaming across the stable door and amongst the soap bubbles where Ned had scoured. But an old man’s cataracts blur corners and the dew still bled where his mop had missed.

Just ten days out from the skirmish at Exeter with Turvey only back in his stable since last night, orders had been relayed for the old charger to be treated with reverence, scrubbed down, well fed, watered and rested. Instead the horse had taken to his huge hind legs, bared tooth and gums, thundered like Prince Harry in a tantrum, and kicked the new stable boy into splinters.

“Turvey’s a war horse,” the earl objected afterwards. “The damned animal’s trained to kick and gouge. Am I expected to ride a damned palfrey into battle? I assume the groom was an inexperienced fool.”

“The new apprentice. Little more than a child.”

“He will therefore not be missed. Go and make sure Turvey’s not fretting.”

The horse, mountainous mottled grey, rolled huge eyes and shivered like a baby. The chief groom held the bridle hard to the bit and wedged his heels against what was left of the stable door, holding firm. Little scarlet beads sprigged the straw. The boy’s corpse was dragged away. It took four strong men to control a rearing destrier, and the apprentice should never have stood so close. A kick from both front legs had crushed the boy’s skull like a tin cup. Flecks of brain pooled in the sunshine.

They had reported first to Lady Sumerford, the yellowing bruise across her left temple and cheekbone another reminder of his lordship’s return, the horse normally less irascible than the master. Her ladyship said, “Hamnet, get the remains cleaned up and take the body back to its parents. I presume it had parents? Tell them the Sumerford estate will pay for the coffin and the priest. And you’d better take a purse with you to keep them quiet. Make it two marks. No – give them a sovereign. A little generosity is better than encouraging back stairs gossip.”

“Indeed, my lady. But I have been informed – his lordship’s personal groom is convinced, my lady – that the horse was purposefully enraged.” Hamnet’s voice faded; a murmur as unconvincing as the story. “Even tortured. Thorns inserted into the hooves, my lady.”

The lady laughed. “What nonsense. Who could get close enough? Who would want to get close enough? They are lying, to cover their own ineptitude.” She clicked her fingers. “Hamnet, do we employ anyone else from the same family?”

The Steward didn’t think so, but a recent attack of the gout hindered memory.

“Hamnet,” barked the countess, “don’t gawp. Go and find out.”

A Dark Seduction

Dear Friend,

Most would give all they had to be raised in the Realm of the Fae. I had no choice. I was too young to remember anything of my own realm, save for snatches of memories that could be no more than my imagination. But if it hadn’t been for the Fae who found me wandering between realms after mine was destroyed, I would be dead now. It was the Fae who raised me and trained me in weaponry and battle skills until I became a warrior to be feared. When the same evil that destroyed my realm threatened Earth and the Fae, I was the first to volunteer for the Shields.

With my immortality the only link I have to my past, I take what comfort I can in the arms of women. I want nothing more than one night with them, one night to forget that I cannot remember my family, one night to take what pleasure I can. It isn’t until I find Shannon that I begin to think of more than just one night in her arms.

Shannon has been brought back in time from Chicago to 1244 England because the evil knows what she is – one of the Chosen. Somehow the evil has found the Chosen before the Shields. His plan is to kill Shannon, but I won’t allow that. My duty is to protect her at all costs.

I’ve never known fear until now – until Shannon.

MEET DEREK THOMPSON!

Derek Thompson grew up in South Charleston, Ohio and received a BA in communication in 2005 from Wittenberg University. After graduation he pursued a corporate sales career at AT&T where he excelled in the high paced sales environment.  That’s up until he was unexpectedly and rudely interrupted by his first manic episode in 2008 which changed everything; they tend to be real bitches like that.       The episode took him back home where he struggled to understand what his new mental health condition diagnosis of bipolar disorder type I was and meant. To cope with this confusion he began writing a blog as a therapeutic process to deal with his new crazy life and have some fun along the way. He currently resides on one of his family’s farms in rural Ohio.

SYNOPSIS

I figure that if I have to endure the worst parts of bipolar disorder, like psychosis, I get to laugh as much as possible along the way. Somewhere Over the Rainbow, I’ve Lost My Damn Mind: A Manic’s Mood Chart is the story of one Millennial’s bipolar life, with moments ranging from the ridiculous to the terrifying to the hilarious. Blending pop culture references and cyberspeak with psychiatric terms, it combines the funny, conversational tone of Sh*t My Dad Says with a nonlinear narrative structure similar to that of Manic.

The book began as a blog: if you had a delusional relationship with Britney Spears, wouldn’t you brag about it to the entire world? To create the book, I organized the blog entries like a mood chart, a therapeutic tool which assigns colors to states of mind. The entries are divided into three sections, Depressed, Normal and Elevated, and cover the past three years: my psych ward getaways, my vision of fighting alongside Jesus at Armageddon, my attempts to find a woman who accepts that I sometimes lose my mind. Therapy “sessions” with a fictional psychiatrist provide my present-day reflections on each entry. (I had to create my ideal shrink because I tend to fight with the real ones.)

Somewhere Over the Rainbow will be the first humorous memoir about bipolar by a member of the Millennial Generation—today’s young adults. Because it doesn’t follow the usual narrative format, the reader can flip through at random or take the traditional cover-to-cover route. My book’s humor, cultural references and Internet origins will appeal to Millennials, now entering their twenties and thirties, as well as younger Gen Xers. More than an account of coming to terms with a mental health condition, it’s a story of being young and feeling lost, dealing with heartbreak and still finding plenty to laugh about, no matter what happens

BLOG TOUR WITH CARLA STEWART AND GIVEAWAY…

HACHETTE BOOK GROUP/FAITHWORDS AND MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE IS HONORED TO PRESENT:

CARLA STEWART…

MEET CARLA STEWART…

In a nutshell: I believe in Jesus, doing the right thing, the power of the written word, and a good cup of coffee. I’m a country girl living now in a mid-sized city with my engineering husband who just happens to be my best friend and biggest fan. We’re the parent of four grown sons who’ve married wonderful girls and given us six amazing grandchildren. Being a Mimi is far more fun that I ever dreamed.

—–

WE ARE HONORED TO HAVE CARLA WITH US TODAY…SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO,SET BACK AND ENJOY OUR GUEST!!

WELCOME CARLA!!

I’m a child of the fifties and while my memories are probably flawed, it does seem like they were more carefree, less troubled times. Perhaps it’s because our lives hadn’t been tangled yet with adult responsibilities and knowledge that not everything is perfect.

And because of my flawed memory, there were a lot of facts to check as I wrote Stardust, a story set in 1952. For me, though, research is part of the joy of writing. It’s the point of discovering something I didn’t know before or uncovering a new facet to a familiar event. And of course, there’s also the joy of actually traveling and taking a research trip.

Which is where I found myself two years ago. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Jefferson, Texas, and visited the museum, the newly restored library, and the quaint shops. We took a riverboat ride on the bayou and quizzed the guide about the history and legends. We visited Caddo Lake, again with a guide, where I learned about cypress trees and those funny looking “knees” clustered at the bases of the trees. I inhaled the aroma of the bayou and let the mysteriousness cloak me. I adore having a great sense of place, so it was a great beginning and verified that this was the setting for Stardust, but there were other choices I had to make about the story.

For the backdrop of the story, I chose polio (infantile paralysis). In the early fifties it reached epidemic proportions and caused near hysteria across our land. I was fortunate to find a fascinating, well-documented personal story by Kathryn Black whose mother had a severe case of the diseases. It really helped me bring the details of this dreaded—and dreadful—disease to life in Stardust.

Most people from that era either had a family experience or knew someone who had polio. In my own family, I had two relatives who were childhood victims, but young people today only know it as one of those diseases for which they’re vaccinated.

My hope is that by bringing readers a glimpse of polio and how it affected society in the fifties will lend to better understanding of the times. A tiny snippet of history, if you will. In some ways, I think we have threats to our health and lives today that mirror that time—hysteria brought on by media coverage and fear that permeates our society. Drawing an analogy from the fifties will help people today see that we all have hope, that if we can conquer something like polio, we can conquer today’s challenges.

The Stardust itself is taken from another childhood memory—a family vacation where we stayed in a tourist court that had individual cottages. It fit well with the themes of the book and the setting—having a haven for weary travelers and holding secrets from the past. When the neon sign flickers, anything is possible. Even a new beginning for the folks who end up at the Stardust. For me, I can still feel the magic of the characters and bringing their stories to life. I hope you and your readers do, too, and that you all enjoy this visit to the Stardust and the fifties.

Thanks, April, for giving me a chance to share a behind-the-scenes look at Stardust!

SPOTLIGHT ON: THICKER THAN WATER AUTHOR SHARON K. OWEN…

MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE SPOTLIGHT PRESENTATION….

AUTHOR,SHARON K.  OWEN

(From the author’s website)

I am a fiction writer, a university professor, a copy editor and an online writing teacher. My first Romantic Suspense: Thicker Than Water (Brands Crossing Series) was published in 2011 and the second book in the series, Whatever Goes Around, will be published in March, 2012.

My short stories and poetry have been published in Descant, Concho River Review, Iron Horse, American Literary Review, Trinity Writer’s Workshop newsletter and collections of Christmas stories.

I am blessed with a loving family, a multitude of friends and the good fortune to share a cozy sanctuary in North Texas with my four-legged roommates.

As an only child in a household and neighborhood primarily populated with adults, I followed my grandfather’s example and entertained myself by creating my own stories in which I was always the hero and the star.

I inherited my vivid imagination and a compulsion to create alternate realities from my maternal grandfather.

He was natural-born story teller. In another century he might have been a Seanchai (an irish storyteller/historian who related adventures that became part of the legends in Ireland.

In our family, he passed along an oral history that brought our ancestors to life.  These stories instilled in me a love of family drama and a curiosity about all the interactions of family members  through succeeding generations.

The literacy skills I developed in school give me the opportunity to put those stories on paper. Although the written version never quite matches the perfection of those images in my mind, I persist in the attempt to present characters and situations that intrigue, inspire and entertain.

At twenty-five Kate is a singer/songwriter living in Nashville and pursuing a promising relationship with computer game designerPHILLIP NORWOOD. There, her only battles are fought in Aidenne’s Revenge, Phillip’s online fantasy game based on her childhood adventures. With her grandfather’s sudden death from injuries he sustained in a suspicious car crash, Kate is forced to make a choice. Will she remain in Nashville to focus on Phillip and her music career? Or will she move back to Brands Crossing and honor the promise she made to her grandfather that she would investigate the mystery surrounding his death?

Family trumps career and romance and Kate heads back to Texas where the monsters, victims and endangered kingdoms are all too real. In an attempt to protect Kate from danger, Phillip joins her quest and helps her search for incriminating documents, investigate a centuries-old family feud and confront an anonymous rose-bearing admirer who stalks Kate in both real and virtual universes.

“THE DANGER THAT IS DAMION” GIVEAWAY AND INTERVIEW WITH,LISA RENEE JONES….

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE WE WELCOME LISA RENEE JONES TO MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE TODAY….
Good morning, Lisa and as always welcome to My Addiction and More!
We are so honored to have you visit with us today…We adore your stories…..
MBA&M: Lisa, please tell those readers who do not know you, a few tidbits about Lisa Renee Jones?
I left the corporate world to write back in 2007 and its been such a good change. I then made another big change and moved to Colorado two years ago and absolutely love it here. I’m a Texan and there are a lot of Texans here because its very similar but the temps are very mild. Even when it snows it doesn’t feel that cold. We rarely need our winter coats. There are crazy cold spells that are below zero but it might be 70 two days later. The big white snow flakes and a fireplace make a great writing environment.
MBA&M: What was your inspiration in writing the “Zodius” series?
I love Vegas and use to go there about 3 times a year. My ex and his family were Army and/or Special Forces so the two things along with a fascination for Area 51 really spurred the idea WAY back before I left the corporate world.
MBA&M: Tell our readers how “The Danger that is Damion” come to be?

Damion and his story came to life while writing Sterling. I got to know Damion very well and I knew exactly who his heroine had to be.
MBA&M: How many books will be in the “Zodius” series?
I have a short story I’ve turned into my editor and then we shall see. I have 3 more planned and hope to write many more. Chale’s story will be next.
MBA&M: What  or who inspired you to become an author?
I actually did a lot of independent film and considered pursing that at one point but life and kids got hectic and time passed. Right before I left my biz I did some independent stuff that went to film festivals but I was really at a point where I had to move and go for it or not. I started thinking about other ways to be creative and script writing and thought — you know– you LOVE books. So the instant the idea came into my head I dived in and never looked back.
MBA&M: If you could step into any of your books, which would it be and why?
Well Santa Baby is so me. The heroine is the only one I can say is a lot like me. So I’d say I don’t have to step far. That heroine and all her mishaps are so relatable to me.
MBA&M: “The Danger that is  Damion” is the third in the “Zodius” series,do you feel readers should read this series in order or not?
I don’t think you need to read in order but I’ve had some readers say you need to. I go to great lengths to try to make sure you can step into each book without reading the prior books
MBA&M: What are some of your comfort foods?
Chocolate. I love it. But I also love cheese (Queso  yum!) and good cookies. Sugar with lots of icing.
MBA&M: What are three titles in your TBR list?
ICE Karen Moning — its not out but I cannot wait!
I am listening to Mr. Perfect on audible. Loved it when I read it and still love it.
Just finished listening to Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis
MBA&M: Who do you feel is your biggest supporter?
Oh Diego, DH, for sure. He’s believed in me when everyone thought I was nuts to leave the corporate world.
MBA&M: You have a street team named “Lisa’s Underground Angels”, how can anyone join if they would like to,and what do they do to support, and encourage you. For those who do not know what “street teams” are all about, please tell them?
Oh I love my angels. I have a group of ladies that help promote my books but many of them have become friends. They really are a special group. Some beta read for me. Some are social media experts. Some let me cry on their shoulder when I have revisions!
I do a lot of special things for my angels because they are special to me.
MBA&M: Please tell our readers where to find you and where to find “The Danger that is Damion”?
Damion should be in your Barnes and Noble stores and on line at all e-tailers. Or you can come to Vegas May 26th and get one signed by me!
Lisa, do you have anthing else to add today?
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to visit with us and our readers today!!
Just thanks for having me and thanks to my angels and my readers!

WITHOUT FURTHER ADO,P.T. DAWKINS:

Good morning, P.T. and welcome to My Book Addiction and More.

MBA&M: Please tell our readers a few tidbits about P.T. Dawkins?

I am 58 years old, stopped working in the investment industry in Toronto and New York 4 years ago (after a 28 year career) and now have the chance to fulfil a life-long dream – of writing and publishing novels. I knew as early as high school that I loved to write, majored in English in college and then spent my career in finance… go figure. But everything happens for a reason, right?

MBA&M: What was the inspiration for “THE ANALYST”?

I have always liked reading legal thrillers and thought perhaps I could do the same thing with Wall Street, and white collar crime as the background setting.

MBA&M: What where some of the challenges in writing “THE ANALYST”?

The writing was just the beginning of the challenges although I really, really didn’t want the book to be an embarrassment so I went through it over and over. I also took 120 hours of courses in creative writing before I started The Analyst. Then there was the whole query letter, trying to find an agent process – that took a year and I finally gave up and decided to self-publish. That was another journey and all I can say is I will do things differently with book #2. Then, one has to learn about marketing. At the time, I didn’t know that things like Nurture Book Tours existed – if all goes well I will “launch” book #2 this way. Next fall maybe?

MBA&M: Which character in “THE ANALYST” do you most identify with and why?

I like to say that all of my characters are like Frankenstein’s monster, made up of parts from many people.  David Heart is probably closest to me (but not exactly the same). I tend to be a quieter person until you force me to fight back and then I do!

MBA&M: What is on the horizon for P.T. Dawkins?

I am 90% of the way through the first draft of my next novel, again, a thriller about white collar crime. I plan to write three novels and create a trilogy. One of the characters in my first novel, The Analyst, lives on and is part of the second book (although the reader doesn’t see that until close to the end.) Hint – it isn’t the protagonist.

MBA&M: What is your life’s passion, beside writing, of course?\

That’s an easy one. My family

MBA&M: Who do you feel is your greatest supporter? Why?

My wife. Right from the very beginning, before I’d written one word she was encouraging me. She’s a voracious reader of commercial fiction and acted as my first editor (before I sent my novel to the one I had to pay for) based on her knowledge of what is out there, what works and doesn’t, that sort of thing. They say one of the keys to writing is to read a lot – she, in a very important way helped me do that, better than I could have done by myself.  They say you shouldn’t let people close to you edit your book. I jumped at the chance (and we’re still married!)

MBA&M: What is something that scares the “heck” out of you? Why?

I don’t know if “scares” is the right word but I do believe that you can work through about any situation you find yourself in – that you can reach down and find more fuel to keep going, even when you thought the cupboard was bare. Giving up too early and learning later that you had more of a chance than you realized if you’d just persevered is a very disturbing thought to me.

MBA&M: Please tell our readers where to find you and where “THE ANALYST” is available?

The Analyst is only available on-line through either POD or e-book reader. It is available through Amazon, Chapters, B&N etc. My website is www.ptdawkins-author.com and links to printers are on there. My email address is pdawk11@gmail.com

PT, do you have anything else you wish to add?

One of the other things I learned is that there is an entire community out there dedicated to supporting indie authors. One of the ways is to host contests. I entered The Analyst in a few and won one! (at least one – haven’t heard back from everyone yet). How cool was that? (digital certificate below).

Thank you for visiting with us and our readers today!!

 Date: August 2011

Recommended Age: 18+

After David Heart’s father’s estate is squandered by bad advice, his mother faces eviction and his grandfather needs life-saving surgery. A seemingly-helpful family friend finds David a seat at a bucket-shop off-Wall Street firm with the promise that money flows like wine.

Naive and quickly recognized as an easy mark, David is plunged into the eat-what-you-kill world of a trading desk, where the analysts, salesmen and traders sit like pigs at a two-sided trough. Bullied by the cruel, abusive head trader known only as Blackie, David is relieved when Sandy Allen, a strikingly provocative street-smart saleswoman, comes to his aid. But, what David doesn’t realize is that hidden agendas are everywhere, and no one can be trusted.

Now the target of extortion, David must make an impossible choice: facilitate an insider-trading felony in exchange for the money his family desperately needs, or face the cruelty of his mentor-turned-predator who has framed David and promises that he alone will be found guilty and suffer the consequences of the crime he refused to commit.

The Analyst by P.T. Dawkins won Best in Genre at the 2011/2012 DIY Book Festival!

FEATURE WITH OLIVIA NEWPORT,AUTHOR OF “THE PURSUIT OF LUCY BANNING”…

BAKER/REVELL PUBLISHING GROUP AND MY BOOK ADDICTION AND MORE FEATURES…

OLIVIA NEWPORT!!

*Bio from the author’s website*

Hello!

I’m imagining you. You walk past as I water my front flowerbeds and we wave. You check the time as we both stand in a long line at the grocery store. You sit in front of me in church. I’m at my table in the coffee shop and you’re at yours.

We may smile politely and move on with our separate lives. Or one of us may speak, a simple invitation to conversation, and the words flow between us.

Here the adventure begins. When we meet someone new, we never know where it might lead.

I’ve been married for over thirty years and have two twenty-something kids. We live in stunning Colorado at the foot of the Rockies, where the day lilies in my back yard grow as tall as I am. (No short jokes, please.)

Not every piece of my life is pretty, though. Some days I want to throw out whole chunks. But I am living each day looking for the grace of God to me, in me, and through me. Having your companionship along the way will help uncover a lot of great stories.

Thanks for stopping by my site, where conversations and adventures begin with a click. I hope we’ll run into each other often.
