About the Book:

Her sister might be the law and her brothers the brawn, but Riley Kingston is definitely the brains of the family. She’s a talented botanist well on her way to a PhD—so why does she feel like a failure? Fired from a dream project in Costa Rica, Riley’s stuck back in her hometown. Cataloguing plants on Steele land keeps her busy, but it’s far from compelling work. Until she discovers a fascinating new specimen. One with a body made for pleasure . . . and eyes filled with a pain she longs to understand.
Delta Force operator Coen Monroe doesn’t want to be studied. Not even by the sexy scientist whose inquisitive glances stir up desires he isn’t ready to handle. He came to Steele Ridge to be alone, to battle his nightmares and the memories triggering them. But Riley’s gentle seduction is as relentless as her curiosity. She soothes his wounded soul . . . and fires up his defensive instincts. But once her research sparks a deadly conspiracy, Coen is exactly what she needs.
When Riley is targeted by a sociopath bent on silencing her forever, Coen will do anything to protect her. But can he save the woman he loves without losing himself in the process?

Excerpt:

Coen staggered to a halt, his body swaying and his exhausted mind clawing for clarity. Out of all the thousands of acres he could’ve run through, how had he managed to intersect the botanist’s space? Some might call it fate, but he considered it one more rock in an avalanche of bad luck.

“Who the hell are you?”

The botanist whipped around from her crouched position, eyes wide and wary.

Slowly, as if she were afraid of spooking a wild animal, she eased into a standing position. How long they stood there, staring at each other, he didn’t know. But from one heartbeat to the next, her gaze unlocked with his and began a slow, thorough progression down his face, along his neck, over his bare chest.

Her inspection lingered at the spot where his shorts rode low on his hips. Hunger pushed away the wariness in her eyes before they continued their meandering journey.

Searing need arrowed through his gut, awakening a part of him that had been dormant for far too long.

Even though we’d taken on the rules of “human” society, behind closed doors and in our own environments, we were animals and lived by pack law.

Dance Of The Hunter’s Moon
(Sakana Series Bk #3)

Amanda LeMay

Blurb:

Jules Havarr is a Breeder. For her, it’s a problem. Smaller than other wolves, she grew up feeling inferior to her pack mates. It didn’t help that males tended to avoid her, or looked down on her as though she were unworthy of attention. When a visiting Breeder extends an invitation to breed, Jules accepts his offer, even though it means leaving her home, friends, family, and pack behind.

Breeding at the Moon Dance is an honor she can’t refuse.

That is, until the moment she meets Sorin Campion, and a rare and ancient bond binds them together. She knows it in her heart, feels it deep in her soul. This male is her sakana, and she’s all in.

The only problem? The Breeder whose invitation she recently accepted is Sorin’s twin brother.

Sorin is a dead wolf walking. He’s suffered tragedy and heartbreak that left a lasting reminder of all he’s lost burned into his flesh. He’s lived the past few decades barely existing.

Can the sakana bond he shares with Jules awaken him from his misery, and bring purpose and hope back into his lonely life?

While exploring their love for one another, Sorin and Jules are tested by a dangerous ongoing threat to their pack. A dark and vengeful enemy may tear them, and their new found happiness, apart.

Dance of the Hunter’s Moon

© Amanda LeMay 2018

Before Sorin, I’d never had a boyfriend. I’d never been in love. I’d never even been kissed.

If he’d taken the chance to save Aliza, we wouldn’t be spending one second in each other’s arms, enjoying anything as simple as the rain, the far-away flashes of lightning and rumble of intermittent thunder.

Because of our ancient, unbreakable bond, what we shared was more than a simple, physical connection. Making love was more than an act of giving and receiving pleasure. Every touch, every kiss, every smile he gave me, healed something inside of me, and slowly but surely erased every negative thought I’d held so close to my heart that kept me from being all I could be. I’d lived my life convinced I was inferior to the members of my pack, a runt with no purpose or place, and no amount of praise or encouragement from those who loved me could make me believe otherwise.

All that changed the second I met Sorin.

My mate.

My sakana.

My broken warrior.

Through our connection, I knew I wasn’t the only one healing. The pain he had lived through for so long was something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I made him smile. I made him laugh. I made him want to live again.

More than anything, whatever I gave to him that helped heal his broken heart, he gave back to me, and so much more.

I loved this male. I loved him so deeply, so purely, if something happened to him, if he were to die…I wouldn’t be as strong. The pain of losing him would kill me.

“Sorin…” Warm tears trickled down my face as he turned to pull me into his arms.

He whispered against my lips, “You’re tearing my heart out, beautiful.”

He kissed me, slowly at first with soft, full lips, then deeply, with long, dragging sweeps of his tongue against mine.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and held on as his mouth moved from my lips to my neck, trailing kisses all the way to my mating mark.

“Love you, Juliana. Love you so much.”

Instead of replying, a strangled sob burst from my lungs and I buried my face in his shoulder.

His teeth grazed my skin. “I think it’s time I take you back to bed.”

Sniffling, I nodded. “Yes, it is.”

My Thoughts:

No Ordinary Duke by Sophie Barnes is an exciting new release and new series,  “The Crawfords Book 1”. WOW what an awesome new series. I absolutely loved Caleb Crawford and Mary Clemens.

Well written with engaging and charming characters.  The plot was captivating and intriguing.  The sizzling sexual tension between Caleb and Mary will have you turning pages. The blend of Romance with the other elements was fantastic.  Once again, Sophie Barnes, has written a story that is enticing and captivating. Her characters will capture your heart and the plot will keep you turning pages.  Romance and finding a HEA was nicely blended together. Excellent Regency read.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

From USA Today bestselling author Caitlin Crews comes A True Cowboy Christmas, the first in a sensational series debut about a cowboy, a farm girl, and the greatest gift of all. . .

Gray Everett has a heart of gold but that doesn’t mean he believes in the magic of Christmas. He’s got plenty else to worry about this holiday season, what with keeping his cattle ranch in the family and out of the hands of hungry real-estate investors looking to make a down-and-dirty deal. That, plus being a parent to his young and motherless daughter, equals a man who will not rest until he achieves his mission. Now, all Gray needs is the help of his lifelong neighbor. . .who happens to have grown into a lovely, spirited woman.

For Abby Douglas, the chance to join forces with Gray is nothing less than a Christmas miracle. Much as the down-to-earth farmer’s daughter has tried to deny it, Abby’s been in love with stern, smoking-hot Gray her whole life. So when Gray proposes a marriage of convenience as a way to combine land—and work together toward a common cause—Abby can’t refuse. But how can she convince Gray that sometimes life offers a man a second chance for a reason. . .and that their growing trust and mutual passion may be leading to true and lasting love?

Excerpt

“Why would you try to tell me that chemistry doesn’t matter? Of course it does.”

“I’m not saying it doesn’t matter. But sheer stubborn- ness matters more.” He heard the intensity in his voice, but did nothing to temper it. “If people want to stay married, they do. If they want that marriage to be a good one, they work on it and make it that way. It’s not rocket science. It doesn’t require your online profiles. You don’t need to get matched on your smart phone. You make a commit- ment to someone, then you keep it. It’s as simple and as hard as that.”

He watched in fascination as her hands curled into fists at her sides.

“I appreciate that you have experience being married, and that gives you a platform to make sweeping state- ments,” she said, her voice low, as if she was fighting back her own intensity. “That’s great. But you’re missing that I’m not interested in the state of marriage in a general sense. I’m telling you I am not going to marry someone I have no chemistry with. That has nothing to do with me being stubborn, not stubborn, or insufficiently committed. It’s actually all about the fact that I’m not staggering around in a grief-induced daze, proposing marriage to people I’ve never looked at twice before in my whole life.” That should have annoyed him, because he wasn’t dazed. Amos had been a mean, unhealthy old man. His death hadn’t been a real surprise. Gray wasn’t sure he was grieving him so much as the father Amos had never been, and he knew he wasn’t crazy with it. But he couldn’t seem to lose his grin, especially when he moved closer to her.

Because when he did, she lost that scowl. Her eyes went wide, that cute flush brightened up her face again, and she had to tip her head back to look at him. Not as much as some of the other girls he’d dated had, as she’d pointed out. Gray liked that too. He didn’t have to hunker over her.

She was . . . right there.

He had an urge and went with it. He reached over and curled his fingers around her ponytail, then pulled them gently along the length of it.

And figured the chemistry question was answered by the way her breath went shuddery.

But he didn’t end it there.

“If I’m following all this,” he said, his drawl low. Thick. “You don’t actually have any objections. You think we maybe ought to date first. You’re worried we don’t have chemistry. But at the end of the day, you’re not opposed to the idea.”

“It’s crazy. And I’m worried that you’re crazy, in a clin- ical sense.”

“If you agree to marry me, I’ll take you on a date or two. If that’s what you want.” His hand was still tangled in her hair, and he was close enough now that he could catch her scent. Gray breathed deep. She smelled like rosemary. And something that reminded him of the pies she and her grandmother had brought over the day after the funeral, warm and good. Right. “But we can settle the other question right here.”

“What do you mean . . . ?”

Gray didn’t wait. He didn’t answer her question, half stammered out with her hazel eyes so wide they looked like summer gold.

He used his free hand to cup her cheek, flushed and smooth beneath his palm. Then he bent—only a little, which struck him as unexpectedly hot—to take her mouth with his.

He felt her tremble. And there was something about the way she melted into him as their lips touched, then brushed, as if she was being pulled by some kind of magnetic force he was half certain he could feel himself.

Gray had only meant to kiss her to make a point. The way a gentleman might, not that he’d ever met too many gentlemen out here where the mountains and the land were the only things that mattered.

But Abby’s lips were soft and velvety beneath his. And she made a tiny sound in the back of her throat that he could feel like a flickering flame.

Before he knew it, Gray was angling his head to one side and licking his way into her mouth.

As if he couldn’t help himself.

And everything got hot. Bright. Impossible.

This was Abby Douglas. Abby Douglas. There was something deliciously wrong about it being Abby that made it hotter, wilder.

It rolled in him and made a joke of him imagining he was in control of any of this. Of her.

Of this sudden storm of sensation that would have taken him off his feet, if that didn’t mean he would have had to let go of her.

When the door slapped open, both of his hands were sunk deep into her hair, and Abby was up on her toes, pressed against him, her arms wrapped around his back.

It turned out Gray wasn’t going to have to worry about easing his way into some or other form of eventual chem- istry with the woman he already knew would make him a good rancher’s wife. He was going to have to worry about what the hell to do with all this chemistry—so much it was like a lightning storm and he kept getting hit—with a woman he’d never paid the slightest attention to until his father’s funeral.

The fact that the front door had opened penetrated the heat and fog that was swirling around him.

Finally.

BLOG TOUR — MISTLETOE AND KISSES –MARINE BLUE

Meet the Author:

Marnie hates having her picture taken; thus she looks like a deer in the headlights in most photos. When she’s not hiding from the camera, she’s cooking keto meals for her law enforcement officer husband and three kids, or scaling the mountain of laundry her family continually creates.

Basically, she’s a regular trapped-at-home mom, except she’s got other people living in her head, demanding she let them out and tell their stories. This is where her enjoyment of the snarky, sarcastic ’50’s housewife memes began; she only wishes she could be so glamorous when acting as a slave to her home.

Marnie enjoys lonely walks on the RI beaches (when she can get to them–it’s a Rhode Island thing), gardening (but not weeding) and coffee. Lots and lots (and lots!) of coffee.

It’s a week in holiday hell.

Worse, it comes with an elf—his little sister’s gorgeous best friend—but Lilly Maddox isn’t so little anymore. And as an annoyingly festive reporter looking to make her mark, she’s there to document his every move.

Justin’s always had a thing for Lilly, but he refuses to go there with her. Ever. Not after watching what his mom went through as a cop’s wife. But now that they’re trapped in his squad car, avoiding her just got a lot more complicated…
