  1. My Mom was left a widow with three children under three years of age. She worked hard to see to it that we had a nice Christmas and a good life. I remember one year when I was at the age of not being sure where there really was a Santa Claus. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and saw my Mom setting out presents. I couldn't help but smile. I wasn't disappointed to know there really wasn't a Santa Claus. I think it was a turning point for me to truly realize and appreciate all that my Mom did. She was a wonderful woman. Merry Christmas in Heaven, Mom.

  2. My daughter was beginning to question whether Santa was real or not. I decided to write her a letter and disguised my handwriting. She couldn't believe she had gotten a letter, handwritten by Santa, and proudly showed it to everyone. Seeing her so happy made my Christmas, too.

  3. Waking up on Christmas morning to find a bright pink huffy under the tree! And then riding aroudn on it on the driveway in my pjs!

  4. A family holiday with relatives who arrived from out of town made our Christmas memorable and special. We created an unforgettable and wonderful celebration with feasts, storytelling which was fascinating and cute homemade gifts that we still cherish.

  5. I was 13 and wanted a stereo so badly so I could play my favorite music, which happened to be in the 60's–best decade ever for rock 'n roll.. Alas, that Christmas I received a couple of small items and a sweatshirt with my school's logo. I tried really hard to hide my disappointment and did not want my parents to think I was no grateful for what they had given me. Tears clouded my eyes. I started to go back to my room when my father said, "There's one more gift under the tree." I looked. I did not see anything. I asked him, "What do you mean? There's nothing more here." He simply said "There's another gift UNDER the tree." Suddenly, it all clicked. The tree was sitting on a box, one I assumed was empty. But, the box was under the tree. Hope of all hopes, I almost flung the tree over to grab the box. When I unwrapped it, there was my stereo. Best Christmas ever for a 13 year old girl..

  6. My favorite holiday memory is spending Christmas at my sister's house and after dinner we would jump in the car and drive around town looking at all the Christmas lights and decorations. Then back home for pumpkin pie, yum!

  7. I am the youngest of five children. When I was waaayyy young, I saved up all my allowances and bought presents for my mom and siblings (with my own money) for the first time. I was so excited to see what everyone thought of what I bought them. My brother, who is 10 years older than me was sooo into baseball. All day and night you would hear him throwing the baseball against the house, walls, basically any surface it would bounce off of (that was, of course, when he was not climbing the walls making suctioning sounds like spiderman). So obviously I bought him a new ball. I could not wait to see what he thought of it…… Little sir smarty pants that he is did not even unwrap it. He stood there bouncing it off the floors and walls saying….. I wonder what it is. Everyone laughed so hard. It was a real nice stress reliever.
