Good morning,Caridad and welcome back to My Book Addiction and More today…
CARIDAD: Thank you so much for having me with you! I love visiting ‘cause you are so awesome.
MBA&M: For those readers who may not know you,please tell them a few tidbits about Caridad Pineiro?
CARIDAD: I’m a wife, mom and attorney who just loves to write. I wrote my first book in the fifth grade. It was a romance and I knew from that moment that I wanted to be a writer.
MBA&M: What was is the inspiration behind writing the “Sin Hunters” series?
CARIDAD: I wanted to do something different than the vampires, demons, etc. that I had done before. Since it seemed to me that there were so many cultures that believed in the existence of life forces in people and nature, like Chi or those who practice Rieke. I found out that the ancient Mayans used to rise and honor the sun as it came up, I thought, what if the Mayans could draw power from the sun? Then it became, what if they could draw energy from other living things? That’s how the mythology for the Sin Hunters was born.
MBA&M: In “The Claimed”, how did the hero,Christopher and the heroine,Victoria come to you. All at once or in bits and pieces?
Did they emerge on their own “Hunters” series,and what is next in this amazing series?
CARIDAD: After THE LOST, where there was a hero who did not know what he was, and Bobbie, a hybrid, I decided that this story had to be all about the Hunters, their powers and the war that’s been going on in their world for centuries. When I knew that, I decided that Christopher and Victoria had to be from different Hunter clans and had to deal with the war between their people. 
MBA&M: What is something you would like to accomplish in your writing career you have not accomplished?
CARIDAD: THE LOST is nominated for a RITA and it would be so awesome to win that award. It would also be amazing to hit the NY Times or USA Today list again. Finally, and most importantly, I’d like to be able to keep on writing books for all of you!
MBA&M: Now, a bit about RT, how do feel it helps authors,readers,and publishers? For those who do not know, RT is the Romantic Times Convention held each year for authors and readers to connect and so much more. Is this correct Caridad and can you explain more?
CARIDAD: RT is a wonderful convention where authors, readers, publishers, editors and agents can all get to know each other better. You can go to a number of different panels and mixers, plus there are some pretty awesome themed parties where you can relax and just hang out with both old and new friends.
MBA&M: What is some comfort food for you?
CARIDAD: OMG – Macaroni and cheese. All time favorite. Also another simple combo – tomato soup with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
MBA&M: Tell our readers what is on the horizon for Caridad Pineiro?
CARIDAD: I’ve got a bunch of erotic paranormal romance novellas from Nocturne Cravings, THE PRINCE’S GAMBLE, a sexy romantic suspense in July and the return of THE CALLING/REBORN vampire novels later this year! Plus, readers of the Sin Hunter series will be glad to know that the next book, THE SHATTERED, comes out in 2013.

This series sounds pretty neat! I have not read a ton of paranormal romance (more heavy on the paranormal, less romance), but I enjoy reading about demons and vampires the most, I think. Although I pretty much like all of them… since I am such a huge reader of fantasy anyway, I'm used to all kinds of unusual characters! Also, mac-n-cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods too… though the tomato soup thing, for me, it was always with a grilled cheese sandwich growing up!!! Yum! Thank you for bringing back such a great memory

I enjoy reading paranormal romances with vampires, demons, and shifters of any kind. The only paranormal being I don't like are zombies. I read a great book with a dragon shifter by Thea Harrison that I really enjoyed, Dragon Bound.
