About JosiJosi S. Kilpack

Josi S. Kilpack hated to read until her mother handed her a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond when she was 13. From that day forward, she read everything she could get her hands on and accredits her writing “education” to the many novels she has “studied” since then. She began writing her first novel in 1998 and never stopped. Her novel, Sheep’s Clothing won the Whitney Award 2007 for Mystery/Suspense. Lemon Tart, the first book in the Sadie Hoffmiller Culinary Mystery series was a finalist in 2009.  Josi currently lives in Willard Utah with her husband, children and super-cute cat.

A Heart Revealed (Proper Romance)
A well crafted Regency England Romance. A compelling, entertaining and haunting tale. Simply mesmerizing to me. The characters were realistic, flawed with realistic struggles and challenges. A vivid account of the Regency-era- England. The heroine in this story is egoistic, not very nice, manipulative, vain, greedy, untruth worthy, and emotionless, but to understand her, you must understand her story. The hero is a nice guy, but again flawed. I felt deeply for the heroine, she has an inner beauty, but in order to find that, she must find herself. While, the storyline felt a bit rush at times, this is a satisfying read. It does has it slow moments as well, but not enough to stop a reader from continuing with the story. Not your run of the mill Historical Romance. If you are looking for a passion filled tale, is can’t it. But if you are looking for a story with flawed characters, struggles, challenges, faith, and an inner strength, than this is a story for your reading pleasure. A unique tale, with a satisfying ending. An enjoyable read!
