In SEDUCTION OF A HIGHLAND WARRIOR, Chieftain Alasdair MacDonald has sworn to preserve the peace in the Glen of Many Legends. Though he’s handsome and fearless, his warrior’s heart belongs only to his beloved land-until the fair sister of his oldest enemy shatters his defenses. Lady Marjory Mackintosh will do anything to unite the warring clans, even seduce Alasdair MacDonald. She has loved the rugged Highlander since she first saw him and now, as temptation leads to surrender, Marjory dares to possess him, body and soul.

Margaret Mallory abandoned a career as a lawyer to become a romance novelist. Why this surprised everyone, she doesn’t know. Who wouldn’t rather have thrilling adventures with handsome Highlanders than write briefs and memos? Margaret lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband, a goofy dog, and a crabby cat.

Sue-Ellen WelfonderΒ is a Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty-year career with the airlines. Now a full-time writer, she’s quick to admit that she much prefers wielding a pen to pushing tea and coffee. She never watches television, loves haggis, and writes at a 450-year-old desk that once stood in a Bavarian castle.

  3. Hahaha, the kilts!
That, and the strong sense of honor the Highlanders have. I can practically hear the Scottish burr from over my shoulder, feel the strong calloused hands on my arms…that is how well Sue-Ellen's writing brings Scotland to life for me.

  4. I can't say it any better than Sue-Ellen did at the Tempting Reads blog today, so here's her quote:

"Men in kilts. I believe readers most love the sexy Highland heroes. They’re the ultimate indulgence: big, strong men with swords and who melt women with their buttery-rich accents. They’re proud, bold, and great-hearted. Fearless in battle, fiercely loyal to their clans, and they love their land to their dying breath and beyond. They’ll tear apart mountains to protect the woman they love, even face down the devil. In bed, or on a plaid in the heather, they are the devil, knowing better than any other hero how to pleasure a lady. Toss in the spectacular backdrop of mist-draped hills, the glens and moors, sparkling lochs, and castles, and the combination can’t be beat. Scotland seduces on every level, even offering a rich tapestry of legend and lore, a colorful and action-packed history full of courage, heartbreak, and triumph. There’s also Highland magic. Did I mention men in kilts?"

See what I mean? She is a wonderful word-smith and expresses my thoughts to a T πŸ™‚

  11. I love the men in kilts, their loyalty, their battles, accents, strength, the way they love their women. In short, everything about them.

  12. I love the Highlanders series. I just need to read them. What I love about them is that they are very protective to the women kins and they have great physique.

  13. I enjoyed your review of The Chieftain and The Seduction of a Highland Warrior. I do enjoy stories with Scottish warriors, Scotland's history, as well as their myths and legends so I know I'll love both books.
I've always loved stories about Highland warriors and the Scottish setting, I think the allure is the fierce love these warriors have for their country and their people, even as they fought among the different clans for dominance.

  14. Hope it's OK to give you a big thank you for the fabulous review of THE CHIEFTAIN! I'm glad you liked both of our books so much. πŸ™‚

  16. My husband was of Scottish decent. We visited Scotland and I fell in love with everything Scottish.
