George Darcy is the second son of a wealthy landowner in Georgian Era England and, at 22, is considered to be a brilliant, rising star in England’s field of medicine. Dr. Darcy refuses the easy, comfortable pathway and enlists as a physician with the British East India Company, embarking on a personal quest where he strives to change the face of medicine while yearning to fill the void left within his soul. His search for family, enduring love, and lost companionship is a quest not wholly realized until his return to England and Pemberley. There’s a new generation of family and friends that will heal the physician, and to his greatest surprise, the true love of his life awaits.

  4. the sequel adds more dimension to the story and continues to involve me in their lives.

  5. Great news about this giveaway of my novel! I didn't know about it – thanks Google Alerts – but now that I do I will be sharing the excitement. Yeah!

I must point out a small error. The title is "The Passions of DR. Darcy" not MR Darcy. This story is about a character I created, George Darcy, uncle of Fitzwilliam Darcy. I just didn't want anyone to be surprised or disappointed in thinking the novel is about the Mr. Darcy of Pride and Prejudice when it isn't.

Good luck to all who enter! Sharon Lathan

  6. I am sooooo wrapped up in their love, I'm insatiable!!! Please enter me in the giveaway!!!!

  7. I love reading new adventures about the lives of my two favorite fictional characters, Elizabeth and Darcy. I admire the creative minds of the authors who can construct such wonderful "what if" scenarios. 🙂 Please enter me in the drawing for the free book! Thank you!

  8. Jane Austen sequels are practically my reason for being, my reason for writing!!!! All those questions we ask, sequels answer and that's an awesome thing. We get to see what happens after the wedding which of course is the question Jane Austen never got the opportunity to answer and its just so wonderful that as a community we can all do that for her by answering these questions. Reading these wonderful adventures written by these women and men who are inspired by Jane's stories inspires me to write to and I can't thank these people enough for what they do for me.

  9. Sharon, I have read these books from the beginning…more than once! Each time I fall in love with the characters all over again. You have taken Jane Austen's story a step further, to our delight, and answered all of the questions in our imaginations. I would consider it an honor to be considered for the giveaway, but nevertheless, I am simply overjoyed to be able to share in The Darcy's journey. Thank you for all that you do for your readers!

  10. i enjoy reading Jane Austen variations as i am fascinated how writers come up with creative & new stories!!!____thank you for the giveaway!!!!

  11. When life is stressful, (and when is it not?) I love to pick up a book and soon I am lost in the Jane Austen universe, a simpler, unrushed time… ahhhhh

  12. I love all things Jane Austen and reading the sequels just keep the stories going. Thank you so much for this contest.

  13. Since Jane Austen died so young, she didn't leave behind enough writing for us Janeites to enjoy. Thank you Austen authors for expanding the world of her characters!

  14. Pride and Prejudice is a favorite story of mine so I would love to read this one.

  15. Austen sequels are our fantasies about her wonderful characters beyond the fabulous words Jane left behind. Well-written sequels today are an honorable tribute to Jane and our way of keeping her alive just a little bit.

  16. I love Pride and Prejudice so the sequels are a way of keeping it going. I can never get enough. It is almost as though they have become a part of who I am.

Your new book sounds fascinating. I like Dr. George Darcy and know this book just about him will be very good.

  17. I love all of Jane Austen's books and wish she had written more ~ I love reading all the sequels so that I may continue to visit Jane Austen's world and enjoy the characters and stories she created~ I have added "The Passions of Dr Darcy" to my TBR List and look forward to reading it~ Thank you for the wonderful giveaway~ Happy Reading and Writing~ Cheers~ Elizabeth
