THE HIGHLANDER’S TRIUMPH~~ELIZA KNIGHT~~w/#Excerpt & #Review

He was a warrior fighting for Scottish freedom.

She was his enemy’s mistress.

Laird Brandon Sinclair has given his life to the Scottish cause. Swearing fealty to Robert the Bruce, he will stop at nothing to see oppression end.

Lady Mariana wants nothing more than to break free of the tyrannical hold the English king has on her. When he sends her to Scotland with a message for the rebels, instead of obeying his orders, she finds herself submitting to her desires. After one sizzling, life-altering night, Brandon and Mariana must part ways. But Mariana has no intention of betraying her heart again.

And Brandon is determined to get her back. Stealing Longshank’s secrets felt like victory, but taking his woman will be this Highlander’s ultimate triumph.

Nearing spring, 1298
Highlands, Scotland
SMOKE filled Laird Brandon Sinclair’s lungs as he rode on horseback with his men toward the north of Kinterloch Village.
High above the wooden wall, flames burst in hungry orange licks. A vengeful fire that would turn everything in its path to ash. The late afternoon sky was already overcast, but the smoke of the blaze made it nearly black.
No villagers ran from the fire. No animals screamed. The chaos that should be erupting with the flames was non-existent—as if deserted. But he knew it couldn’t be. The people, the animals, were either trapped or had managed to get out from a different gate.
The Scottish troops’ fearless leader, William Wallace, had already charged through the front gates into the inferno as if he were a man with a death wish. He’d ordered Brandon and his men to check the north side for survivors. Brandon’s cousin, Ronan Sutherland, had taken his warriors to the west side near the loch.
Far from his castle and lands in the north of the Highlands, Brandon had traveled to Eilean Donan the month prior to help his cousins Daniel Murray and Ronan along with William Wallace and Robert the Bruce in the war against the English. But it seemed now it wasn’t only the English they were fighting—but traitor Scots too.
A loud crash reverberated through the air as another building collapsed behind the wall. A rush of heat surged his way, and a cloud of dark smoke billowed into the sky, in stark contrast to the world around them, a peaceful, beautiful place with lush pine trees and gorse bushes, even in winter. Hell set in the middle of heaven.
Doubt darkened his mood. There would be no survivors. Not in a raging inferno like this—one that rivaled Hades. He shook his head and spurred his horse forward. His chestnut colored warhorse, Checkmate, pounded the earth with his massive hooves.
If only they’d been able to get to the village before Laird Ross—traitor to all Scots and their ancestors. The damned bastard had defected to the English, and since doing so, had laid a path of destruction across the Highlands. There wasn’t a man Brandon knew that hadn’t been affected by Ross’ treachery. Hell, it seemed like the man was on a mission to make enemies with everyone of true Scottish heart.
Brandon’s thoughts were cut midway when they rounded the burning wall on the north side.
“Halt!” he shouted to his men, reining in Checkmate.
A woman burst through the wooden gate, exposing the interior angry flaming village. Hair black as a midnight sky, skin covered in soot. Her dark green gown was covered by a singed, once high-quality, wool cloak. She tripped, falling onto her hands and knees, coughing, yet she did not stop. The lass crawled forward, every move beleaguered in her attempt to escape the flaming village.

Without a thought, Brandon jumped from Checkmate, and ran toward her.

My thoughts:

The Highlander’s Triumph by Eliza Knight is an interesting Medieval Romance, set in 1298
Highlands, Scotland. #5 in “The Stolen Bride” series, but it can be read as a stand alone.

“He was a warrior fighting for Scottish freedom. She was his enemy’s mistress.”

Laird Brandon Sinclair is a brawn highlander, who has sworn his life to the Scottish clause and his fealty to Robert the Bruce. Lady Mariana, is a French lady, who was given to King Edward as his mistress. She was sent to a village to draw the Bruce’s men into a trap. All she wants is to escape the tyrannical King Edward,  but she’s left in a burning village, where Brandon and his men find her.  Was she sent to spy by Longshanks?

Brandon and Mariana are a complex but intriguing couple. An English King’s mistress and a Scottish warrior, will they find love and a HEA?

Slow at times, but generally a good Scottish Romance,  although, “The Highlander’s Triumph” was not my favorite of this series, I found I was invested in the story, the plot and the characters.

With danger around every corner,  sparks flying between Brandon and Mariana, treachery, and more, this story does have much to recommend it to readers.

I have been waiting patiently for “The Highlander’s Sin”, which is next on my list to read. “The Stolen Bride” series is a complicated,  compelling and intriguing series. I would recommend reading Brandon and Mariana’s story! A good Scottish Romance!

My thoughts:

The Highlander’s Viking Bride: Book 2 in the Hardy Heroines series by Cathy MacRae is an awesome Medieval Romance. I was positively entranced and entralled! Can be read as a stand alone.

Calder MacGerry, is the laird of an impoverished clan, but he has decided, after his beloved fathet’s recent death, he would end the bitter feud between the MacGerrys and Sinclair clans. He accepts Laird Sinclair’s offer of marriage to his only daughter, Katja, to seal the agreement between their clans. Peace between the two clans is finally on the horizon.

Katja however, is not so sure. She trusts no man, and not many lasse. She been raised around a clan that treats her no respect. She has brothers, of course, who tries to protect her ftom her father’s harsh treatment. She is the best archer in her clans, though.

What starts out as a marriage of hope, soon turns to mistrust and someone in clan MacGerry is trying to run Katja away. She is accepted by her husband’s family with open arms and some others in the clan, however, acidents soon start happening to her. She is poisoned, nearly raped, and set upon by thuds, it’s a good thing she is a fiece lass who can protect herself. Calder is furious when he learns of the things that’s been happening to his new wife. Can love grow from mistrust and hapastance?

“The Highlander’s Viking Bride” is filled with intrigue, mistrust, danger, romance, betrayal and love. It seems when things happen to Katja her husband is not around he’s often trying to increase his clan’s strength, so he’s absent often, he leaves his bride with his brother for her protection.

This story has everything a romance reader could possibly wish to find in a great read. From complex and engaging characters to intriguing plots to a dangerous trek to the Shetlands to finding a true and absolute love and another family she hasn’t seen for many years, her mother’s Viking family. There is a wonderful cast of characters, I can’t wait to read more about their lives.
With mistrust, loneliness, much excitement, forgiveness, love and so much more, readers will be thrilled and excited to read Katja and Calder’s story. I fell in love with them from the very beginning. Fast paced, a definite page turner, with so much to offer readers. Cathy MacRae does not disappoint readers. I hope you will see what I’m talking about and pick up you’re copy.
A definite must read! An extraordinary Medieval Romance!!

THE HIGHLANDER’S WARRIOR BRIDE ~~ELIZA KNIGHT~~#Excerpt & #Review

Their greatest opponent won’t be battled with a sword…

But with their hearts…

Ronan Sutherland is a fierce warrior. Swearing off all else, he thrives on his powerful position within William Wallace’s army. Freedom for the Scots is his mission—until he meets fair Julianna. She captivates him, intoxicates him…makes him want more out of life than what harsh dangers he’s accustomed to.

Lady Julianna is no meek maiden. She’s trained in the art of war, sister to one of Scotland’s most powerful men, and tasked with keeping the future king safe. Until she’s kidnapped by a rivaling clan. Now her only hope is for the one man she trusts—and desires—to save her.

Together, they’ll have to face down one of Scotland’s most treacherous foes… And keep from falling victim to the one thing they’ve both eluded thus far—love.

The tent was dark. Cold. If Lady Julianna had a candle, she’d surely see her breath upon the night air. Puffs of white spilling from her mouth in angry bursts.
Damn the Ross and his ill-fated decisions. Damn the English and their desire to crush the Scots.
If she could go back a few days prior, she would do everything the same way—save maybe tucking more weapons on her person.
At least she wasn’t shackled. Although having free reign of a prison cell made of fabric and surrounded by guards wasn’t really any better. Her numerous attempts at escape had been quickly thwarted. She rubbed her arms furiously against the winter chill. Her cloak was thick and well made, but after a while, layers did not keep a body warm. Oh, what she wouldn’t do for a nice, blazing fire and a dram of Cook’s spiced whisky.
Three days ago, she’d been intent on speaking with Lady Myra at Eilean Donan Castle—an act that landed her here within the camp of her enemy.
Even still, she wouldn’t change a thing. It wasn’t Myra’s fault they were kidnapped. She and Myra had gotten off on the wrong foot, and Julianna wanted to make up for it by helping her escape. Although she wasn’t sure why Myra would want to leave when she obviously loved Laird Murray, but who was Julianna to judge?
She shrugged in the darkness. Truly, she had no right to pass judgment on anyone. Hadn’t she eschewed her own feelings of desire, of passion—of dare she say it—something emotionally deeper? Not that it mattered. Julianna couldn’t marry until her brother deemed it so, and for the foreseeable future, that didn’t seem to be the case.
She was glad. Marriage would only bind her. Wrap her up in a neat little package and put her on the shelf. That was not the life Julianna wanted. She was a warrior.
Trained in the arts of war. Trained to protect the King of Scotland. Little good that did her now, seeing as how she sat prisoner in this Godforsaken tent, by the devil Laird Ross.
“Humph.” She crossed her arms over her chest. Still, she’d not change a thing.
When she slipped into the passageway leading to Myra’s room and saw her being carried away—gagged and trussed up—she had to save her. That’s what she was trained to do. She had no other choice. Myra had traveled a long way, risked death, all to give Robert the Bruce a message. A message that saved his life.
Following the brutes who dared harm a lady, Julianna thought little of her own safety, only of saving Myra. No one else witnessed her being abducted. As a warrior, Julianna felt it was her duty to see to everyone’s safety.
She’d jumped in front of the men, stopping them in their path and demanded they unhand Myra. They’d laughed at her. Right in her face, their breath foul, spittle flying. Julianna ignored their laughter and offered to take Myra’s place. That made them laugh harder. And harder. They knew who she was, and she recognized them too. Colin and Alisdair. Two relatively new retainers in Robert the Bruce’s army. They knew Julianna was important. But she was sure they didn’t know how significant. She was a kitchen servant, or at least that’s what they thought her to be. It did not go unnoticed that she had the ear of Robert. No one, however, knew just what her role was. They’d kept that a secret. They’d had to. It was the only way to protect themselves.

After all, theirs was an illusion created to distract, to confuse.

My thoughts:

The Highlander’s Warrior Bride by Eliza Knight is a nail biting Medieval Scottish Romance. While, #4, it can be read as a stand alone.

Ronan Sutherland is the younger brother of the Sutherland Clan, he’s a fierce warrior and holds an important position with William Wallace. Lady Julianna is a warrior, she’s trained all her life to protect Robert Bruce and she has secrets few people know, which places her in grave danger. Together, these two make a fierce,  tantalizing and impressive couple.  I enjoyed how Julianna and Ronan worked together, fought their attraction, learned to trust each other and found love amongst the turmoil and ugliness that war brings. But, will Robert Bruce, wish to lose his fierce protector? Will he deny what two hearts long to have, their HEA?

“The Highlander’s Warrior” is a quick read, fast paced with nail biting danger and filled with turns and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed Julianna and Ronan’s story. I was captivated from the beginning and held breathlessly to the end.

Ms. Knight is a remarkable storyteller, who draws readers into her stories with her vivid details, her unpredictable but charming and engaging characters and her tantalizing plot.

If you enjoy action packed, danger filled with intriguing characters, brawn Highland warriors, fierce lasses and masterfully written stories,  then “The Highlander’s Warrior Bride” is a perfect story for you to read.  Fantastic Medieval Scottish Romance!

VIRTUAL TOUR~THE HIGHLANDER’S LADY~~ELIZA KNIGHT with #Excerpt and #review

A Highlander tamed…

Laird Daniel Murray seeks adventure, battle and freedom for his countrymen. Putting off his duties as laird—with a promise to his clan he’ll return come spring—Daniel sets off with his men to fight alongside William Wallace and the Bruce. But soon he stumbles across an enchanting lady in need. She tantalizes him with an offer he simply can’t refuse and a desire he attempts to dismiss.

A lady’s passion ignited…

Escaping near death at the treacherous hands of a nearby clan, Lady Myra must find the Bruce and relay the news of an enemy within his own camp. Alone in a world full of danger and the future of her clan at stake, she must trust the handsome, charismatic Highland laird who promises to keep her safe on her journey—and sets her heart to pounding.

Together, Daniel and Myra will risk not only their lives, but their hearts while discovering the true meaning of hope and love in a world fraught with unrest.
Early December
Highlands, 1297
A loud crash sounded from below stairs, startling Lady Myra from her prayers. What in all of heaven was that?
She’d been sequestered in the chapel for most of the morning—penance for her latest bout of eavesdropping.
The chapel was dark, lit only by a few candles upon the altar. A fierce winter gust blew open the shudders, causing the candle flames to waver. Myra rushed to the windows, securing the shudders once more, feeling the wood rattle against her fingertips.
Her stomach muscles tightened with unease. There were not often sounds like this at Foulis. In fact, she’d never heard such before.
The very floors seemed to shake. Imagination going wild, she pictured the boards beneath her feet splintering and falling through to the great hall below.
Myra kept a keen ear, waiting for a sign that would reassure her that nothing was amiss. For once she hoped to hear her older brother, Laird Munro, railing at the clumsy servant who’d dropped something, but there was nothing save an eerie silence. The hair along her neck rose and with it, her skin prickled as an acute sense of dread enveloped her.
The castle was never this silent.
“Astrid?” she called out to her maid—but there was no reply. Not even the scurrying of her servant’s feet across the floor. Where had the maid gone? She was supposed to wait for Myra outside the chapel door. “Astrid!” she called a little louder this time, but still there was no reply.
’Twas as if she were alone, but that made no sense. Foulis Castle was always bustling with people. Unable to stand the silence, Myra scrambled to her feet. She lit a tallow candle by the hearth to light her way in the darkened corridor and slowly crept toward the door of the family chapel. Nothing but a whisper of a breeze from her gown disturbed the areas where she passed—’twas how she was able to eavesdrop so often. Locked away, supposedly for her own good, since she was a girl, she learned an important lesson. If she were to find out anything of import, she had to be secretive and slick, so she learned to creep.
She did so now with practiced ease, sidestepping boards known to creak and pausing every few moments to listen for sounds. She strained to hear a whisper, someone’s breathing, anything that would assure her that she had in fact let her imagination get the best of her. But there was nothing.
Fighting hard to keep the fear from suffocating her, she reached the door, and with tortured slowness gripped the cool iron handle. She wanted to throw it open, and ignore the dread that held her hand still. But she had to trust her instincts. Something was terribly wrong. She could feel it. Myra leaned in close, pressing her ear to the frozen wood. She remained motionless, listening. Again silence. Satisfied there was no imminent threat, she began to open the door. An earth shattering shriek and another loud crash broke the silence. Myra slammed the door. Was that…? She shook her head. It couldn’t be. Scrambling away from the door, she dropped her candle which snuffed itself out. God’s teeth! Was that a battle cry? Granted, she’d never heard one before, but ’twas not just any shout. Nay, this sound was terrifying. A cry that sent her knees to shaking and her lip to bleeding from biting it so hard.
She could barely see, the candles at the altar weren’t putting off enough light. What in blazes was she supposed to do? How would she protect herself? Damn those guards. Why hadn’t there been any warning? Shouts of caution. Why hadn’t the gates been closed?
Was it possible that she’d just not heard the warnings? She had been deep in prayer, worrying about her sore knees, and to add insult to injury she’d needed to use the privy for hours. Had she been that preoccupied?
Angered? So distracted that if someone had shouted in her ear she probably wouldn’t have heard it? She took a deep breath to figure out her next course of action.
The secret stairways! Lucky for her, the chapel was located in a tiny corridor off the gallery above the great hall. A hidden stair, inside the chapel, led up to the master’s chamber. Embarrassed after her penances—which were often, Myra chose not to venture into the great hall, instead she preferred to use the hidden stairs. She knew them well. All of them. When she was just a girl, her father had shown her where they were located, and when she’d once found them fun, she now found comfort in their obscurity. Now they would not only help hide her embarrassment but they might even save her life.

My Thoughts

Highlander’s Lady by Eliza Knight is an intriguing Medieval Romance set in the Highlands, in 1297. #3 in the “Stolen Brides” series, but each title can be read as a stand alone. Although,  written in a conservative order.

Daniel and Myra’s story is a thrilling story from beginning to end, I was entirely transfixed to the pages. The pull between Myra and Daniel is truly immensely entertaining.  Daniel could at times, get on one’s nerves with bemoaning his situation. Myra, is a strong, feisty heroine and shows she can and could protect herself. Daniel, is an alpha male,  for sure. The two of them make a perfect match.

Ms. Knight has once again has given readers a tale of love,  trust,  treachery,  betrayal, romance and love. A story  of adventure with sizzling chemistry and an abundance of suspense. Ms. Knight’s stories are vivid in details, you can also smell the heather. I enjoyed “The Highlander’s Lady” immensely and highly recommend it to fans of Highland Romance, the turmoil of the Scottish countryside, the thrill of danger and romance amidst turmoil.  Another great hit by Eliza Knight! !

MY THOUGHTS

A Warrior’s Pledge (Highland Bodyguards, Book 3) by Emma Prince is a captivating and mesmerizing Medieval Historical Romance. While, Book 3 in her fantastic “Highland Bodyguards” series, it can be read as a stand alone. I would suggest reading this mesmerizing series!

WOW! Brilliantly written, fast paced, the characters are enticing, alluring and utterly captivating, the storyline is utterly intriguing. Set in England and Scotland!

Lady Rosamond is pledged to a Lowlander as an alliance between Scotland and England, but someone has tried to kidnapped her once. Enter….Finn Sutherland, as her “Highland Bodyguard”, sent by Robert the Bruce. He is brooding, with a dark heart, but gentle as well, once you get to know him.

Robert the Bruce, sent Finn, one of his best “Highland Bodyguards” to protect Lady Rosamond, as a request from her father.

Together Rosamond and Finn must face danger, near tragedy, their growing attraction to each other and their hearts. Will family, honor, duty or their hearts win this battle to find their HEA? Or will they lose all to the danger that lurks?

Many twists and turns with a few surprises along the way, danger lurking in an expected place, mystery, suspense, intrigue, a battle of hearts versus duty, honor and family.

Once again, Ms. Prince has written a tale that not only captivates but transfixes the reader into another era and definitely holds you intrigued from beginning to end.
I can’t wait to read more of this captivating and intriguing “Highland Bodyguards” series.

Ms. Prince has fast become one of my all-time favorite Medieval Scottish Romance authors. She never disappoints me nor ever fails to peak my interest and hold me in utter awe.

Meet the Author:

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there lived a princess…

Growing up, I was a proficient story teller, with most of my plots encompassing princesses and princes and dreams coming true. Now as an author, some of my stories are still about royalty, knights, duels, ladies, intrigue, betrayal. History fascinates me and I try to bring history back to life in each of my stories.

My favorite time periods are medieval, renaissance and Regency eras of Europe. Growing up, I was lucky to have grandparents who lived in Paris, so many a summer was spent exploring medieval ruins and historical sites.

One of my all time favorite books is Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, and I am of course Jane Austen fan, my two favorites being Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I love the in-depth, emotionally riveting and intriguing works of historical author, Ken Follett. I am also a fan of Shakespeare, and you will find in a lot of my writing reference to the literary God and his work. Not only Shakespeare, but other period poets and literary notables of history are on my keeper shelf. My love affair with the romance genre started young. I picked up my first romance novel, The Bride, by Julie Garwood when I was in high school, and I haven’t been able to stop reading or writing romance since.

When I’m not reading or writing I am usually doing research for fun. If you love history, come visit me at History Undressed, where we discuss all the wildly fascinating and titillating facts of history! Recently I’ve started to post reviews of historical fiction and romance novels as well.

She was supposed to be his prize… But not all rewards are sweet…

Laird Brody Keith, Marischal of Scotland, has been asked by his future king to travel with William Wallace to Dunnottar Castle, where they will seize the castle back from the English. If he completes his mission, the castle, the land and all it holds, will be his. Brody is more than eager to sink his blade into the hearts of his enemies after the brutal murder of his sister and father. But what he doesn’t count on is finding an English lass in need of his protection…

Lady Guinevere has led a less than pleasant life in Scotland over the past year, and now she can either run for her life or accept the proposal of a man who should be her enemy. Survival bids her to acquiesce, but that doesn’t mean she has to play nice. Except, she’s coming to adore the people whom she’s always been told she should hate, and respect the man who risked his life for her.

Joined for a mutual purpose, Brody and Guinevere seem doomed from the start, but as time passes and their true enemies draw closer, they’ll form an alliance that not even the devil himself can break.

stolen by the laird excerpt

Brody pushed the door open the remainder of the way and came face to face with four Englishwomen. They huddled by the window, dressed in Sassenach gowns, hair once styled as though they were attending a great feast, jewels at their necks, and tears adorning each face except for one.

“Och, but I’ve died and gone to Hell,” he muttered.

Everyone knew Englishwomen were as shrewish as… well as, an Englishwoman, and as cold as dead fish.

All four stared at him, wide-eyed, mouths hung agape.

Much like fish, he thought.

They were pretty enough, especially the one with the long flowing blonde locks. Though it looked as though her locks had seen better days, perhaps not to have been torn from whatever fancy knot they’d been in.

“Who are ye?” he asked in not too kind a tone. He didn’t want any shrewish behavior, simply facts.

The blonde stepped forward, squared her shoulders and looked him straight in the eye with her piercing blue—nay more green than blue—eyes. She was the only one who didn’t cry. As though she’d been expecting him. The lass was beautiful, even if she was a harpy. Her bone structure was delicate, but her eyes sharp, and the way she frowned, well, he guessed her tongue to be just as barbed. The gown accentuated the curve of her hips and the swell of marginal breasts—he refused to call them the perfect size, for she was English, and he denied finding anything about her to be flawless.

“Who are you?” she retorted.

Och, a fiery little fish. “I asked ye first.”

“Well”—her gaze roved from the top of his head down to his boot tips and he felt more than a little assessed—“I think it is plain to see I outrank you, savage, so you must answer me first.”

At her bold words the ladies in her presence all paled, one covered her mouth, another pinched her own arms and the third nodded approval.

Brody chuckled, taking a menacing step forward. “Then I suppose we have found ourselves at an impasse, fishy, for I do believe I outrank ye.”

“Fishy? Ye insult me.” She shook her head and regarded him with something akin to disgust. “Impossible.”

Her revulsion almost had him checking himself. How odd, and why should he even wonder at her manners? She was English after all. Every woman he’d ever met up to this point had fallen at his feet. Brody was known for his charismatic tongue, his lovemaking abilities. Well, this fish wouldn’t know those things. And from the looks of her, she’d be too uptight to enjoy the pleasures he could have given her, if he wanted to, which he wouldn’t.

Brody puffed his chest and took several steps forward. “I assure ye, madam, given your current situation, anything is possible.”

Two of her ladies fainted dead away and the third stepped in front of the blonde, only to be shoved behind, a sharp word from the Grande Fishy’s mouth.

Then she turned back to him, pursing her lips as though she were contemplating a truce.

Before she could speak, he cut her off. “I dinna make deals, lass. If ye dinna believe me, then take a look out your window at the kirk yonder.”

“So you intend to kill us then?” Despite the stubborn set to her jaw and shoulders, her lower lip quivered.

Och, but why did that slight tremble have to tug at his heart? “We shall see what comes to pass.”

An avid reader with a particular love for historical romance, it seemed only natural to write stories in her favorite genre. Scotland 1072

The Norman Conqueror robbed Steinar of Talisand of his noble father and his lands, forcing him to flee to Scotland while still recovering from a devastating wound. At the royal court, Steinar becomes scribe to the unlettered King of Scots while secretly regaining his skill with a sword.

The first time Steinar glimpses the flame-haired maiden, Catrìona of the Vale of Leven, he is drawn to her spirited beauty. She does not fit among the ladies who serve the devout queen. Not pious, not obedient and not given to stitchery, the firebrand flies a falcon! Though Catrìona captures Steinar’s attention, he is only a scribe and she is promised to another.

Catrìona has come to Malcolm’s court wounded in spirit from the vicious attack on her home by Northmen who slayed her parents and her people. But that is not all she will suffer. The man she thought to wed will soon betray her.

Rebel Warrior (Medieval Warriors #3)

Rebel Warrior #3 in the “Medieval Warriors” series by Regan Walker. A stand alone. Once again, Ms. Walker has written another WOW, Medieval Romance.
Fast paced, action packed story of betrayal, passion, destiny, fate, healing, romance and finding peace and a HEA. All is not what it seems with the characters. Ms. Walker has weaved a couple of other blossoming romances, into this fascinating Scottish tale. Ms. Walker is a talented storyteller, who pulls readers into the story and holds them transfixed. A page turning Medieval Romance!
Well written, with vivid descriptions, palpable connections, and sparks of love, flying everywhere. I loved the characters and the storyline. I loved how Ms. Walker brought all the inter-weaved stories to a pleasing conclusion. I can’t wait to see what will be the next grand adventure. You can’t help but fall in love with this amazing Scottish Historical Romance. Once again, Ms. Walker has weaved story with Scottish-English history, romance, suspense and danger.
