Two BRAND NEW Addison Cole sweet romance releases!

Sweet Love at Bayside (Sweet with Heat: Bayside Summers Book 1) by [Cole, Addison]

Fall in love at Bayside, where sandy beaches, good friends, and true love come together in the sweet small towns of Cape Cod. Bayside Summers is a series of standalone romance novels featuring fiercely loyal heroes and sassy, empowered women. They’re fun, flirty, flawed, and easy to relate to.

In Sweet Love at Bayside…
As the co-owner of Bayside Resorts, Rick Savage has a fabulous job working with his best friends and brother, and a thriving business in Washington, DC, which he’ll be returning to at the end of the summer. Spending time with his family is great, but being back on Cape Cod has unearthed painful memories. When sweet, smart, and overly cautious Desiree Cleary moves in next door, Rick is drawn to the sexy preschool teacher, and she just might prove to be the perfect distraction.

Running an art gallery was not in preschool teacher Desiree Cleary’s plans, but after being tricked into coming to her impetuous, unreliable mother’s aid, she’s stuck spending the summer with the rebellious half sister she barely knows and a misbehaving dog. If that’s not frustrating enough, she can’t escape the sparks igniting with her strikingly handsome and pushy neighbor, Rick, who makes all her warning bells go off.

Passion ignites as Desiree and Rick spend long summer nights sharing heartfelt confessions and steamy kisses. For the first time in years Rick is enjoying life again instead of hiding behind mounds of work miles away from his family. Desiree has touched him in a way that makes him want to slow down. Only slowing down means dealing with his demons, and he isn’t sure who he’ll be when he comes out the other side.

After returning home, what starts as a flurry of late-night flirtations quickly turns into a deep connection and unexpected friendship. Now, months later, Desiree offers Emery a job teaching yoga at the inn. Adventurous Emery jumps at the chance and heads for Wellfleet, Massachusetts, to reunite with her BFF and her new close friend, Dean.

After months of sharing their lives, and their secrets, over video chats and phone calls, Dean’s ready to move things to the next level. The fact that Emery seems oblivious to the sparks between them and has recently put her foot down about dating friends just means he’ll have to bide his time.

When Emery finds a man in her kitchen the first morning she’s there, Dean doesn’t hesitate to move her into his guest room. Maybe now Emery will see what’s right before her eyes-although that guy she’s got a date with might be a problem.

My thoughts

Sweet Love at Bayside by Addison Cole is a fun, flirty, sweet romance with a touch of heart. Well crafted, easy to read, a bit predictable but totally worth the time to read. A fun beach read with great  but flawed characters, who are feisty, flirty, fiercely loyal and an interesting and entertaining small  beach town romance, set in Cape Cod.  Loved everything about SWEET LOVE AT BAYSIDE. The author did an amazing job of convening the characters and the story to her readers. A must read beach romance.

My thoughts on SWEET PASSIONS AT BAYSIDE by Addison Cole.  Book 2 in her amazing “Sweet Love Romance” series, but can be read as a stand alone.
What a wonderful new series, powerful  compelling and sweet romance with no harsh language or explicit love scenes.  What a delightful new series. Set against a beach backdrop, Bayside in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. While the characters are flawed are they easy to relate to and likable. The storyline is sweet, a bit predictable but totally entertaining and entertaining.  I absolutely adore the characters and the plot was simple fantastic.  Another great Beach romance where the reader can feel the breeze on their face and the heat of a blossoming romance in their heart. Another great read by the talented Addison Cole.

Colorado Hope 3Book Excerpt:
May 16, 1875

A fierce wind whipped Grace Ann Cunningham’s hair, yanking at the long strands and pulling them free from their pins. She squinted through the haze of the blustery day and stroked her bulging belly, trying to comfort her baby, who seemed just as agitated by the sudden storm.

Her back ached from sitting on the hard buckboard bench all these miles—much less comfortable than the plush sleeper car they’d enjoyed last week on the train from Illinois to Cheyenne.

She frowned at the dark roiling clouds that had moved in and quickly blotted out the sun.

What had been a pleasant uneventful morning was now turning into an ominous and unsettling afternoon on the open prairie.

Grace sucked in a breath as the baby again kicked her ribs in protest. Her sweet husband’s sun-browned face tightened in concern as he caught her gesture. He pulled on the reins of the two draft horses—sturdy ones they’d bought yesterday in Cheyenne. Surefooted, the seller had told them. And Monty knew his horses, so she trusted his purchase and assurance that they’d
haul them without incident to Fort Collins. But looking at her husband’s face now, seeing the subtle telltale signs indicating that he hadn’t expected this squall nor felt at ease about it, gave her pause. And her normally talkative husband had been too quiet this last hour, eyeing the sky and listening to the roar of the nearby river, as if hearing their complaints and trying to suss out
nature’s intentions.

“The baby all right, darlin’?” He scooted over on the buckboard seat to look her over, then took her hands in his.

Warmth from his gentle grip comforted her, but not as much as the love streaming from his adoring gaze.

“I think so,” she told him, then smiled as he laid his hand firmly on her belly.

Grace thanked the Lord in a silent prayer for this wonderful man who’d married her in a simple ceremony last September. All those years she’d lived with her doting aunt Eloisa in the boardinghouse back in Bloomington, she never imagined she’d be blessed with such happiness.

When Montgomery Cunningham had first stepped into the parlor to take a room before starting college at Wesleyan University, she’d been a shy, giggling girl of ten. Neither of them foresawthe love that would spark six years later when he showed up again unexpectedly, about to head west to explore and survey lands unknown.

Monty closed his eyes, his hand still on the baby in her womb. She imagined him communing with their baby, speaking to it the way he spoke to rivers, to trees, to the land he traversed by boat and on horseback and on foot. Something had happened to him when he returned from the Hayden Yellowstone Expedition. He had changed from boy to man, yes—but it was more than that. He had fallen in love with the West, and with rivers in particular. Although he’d studied geology in college with John Powell, water captured his heart, and he sought out trips that had him navigating whitewater. Nothing made his eyes sparkle more than talking about the way water moved and sang as it cascaded and carved the face of mountains and spilled into waiting valleys. Well, except the way he looked at her.

Monty may have loved rivers, but Grace knew he loved her more. So much more, for he gladly gave up his exploring to settle down and marry and start a family. Although, Grace thought moving to the new town of Fort Collins, Colorado, was adventure enough. She hoped he’d come to see it that way as well and not be into the wild.

a winter wedding

AmandaForester-1MBA&M: Please tell our readers a bit about yourself?

I have a PhD in psychology and worked many years in academia before discovering that writing historical romance was way more fun. Whether in the rugged Highlands of medieval Scotland or the decadent ballrooms of Regency England, I enjoy stories that are fast-paced adventures, filled with wit, intrigue, and romance. When I’m not writing, I enjoy camping, scrapbooking, eating chocolate, and flying on zip-lines (ok, I did it once but I thought I needed to sound more exciting).

MBA&M: What is the allure of historical romance with intrigue, wit and romance?

I enjoy writing the types of books I would like to read. Don’t you love books that make you laugh, give you an adventure, and make you fall in love? I do! In A Winter Wedding, Miss Penelope Rose, the notorious Madame X, exclusive matchmaker to London’s elite, has made a modest fortune creating love matches for everyone but herself. Her toughest client yet, the Duke of Marchford, has commissioned her to find him a bride, but he is more interested in tracking down a spy than in interviewing potential mates. Marchford is willing to do anything to find that spy, including announcing an impromptu engagement to force Penelope to stay close and help him catch the traitor. When Penelope refuses to play along, Marchford takes to wooing her to stay, including embracing that most perilous of holidays–Christmas! As Penelope and Marchford work together to uncover a deadly plot, they find falling in love is the most dangerous adventure of all.

MBA&M: What is next for you as a writer?

My next release, The Highlander’s Bride, will travel back to the 14th Century to check in on Sir Gavin, who was left behind in France in my last Scottish medieval novel (True Highland Spirit). Sir Gavin has agreed to escort the beautiful Lady Marie Colette to meet her affianced husband in Scotland. Needless to say, things don’t quite go according to plan.
Back in the Regency, in A Winter Wedding there was one lady for whom Penelope could not make a match. Lady Kate was a hardened case, so naturally I had to take her on myself and I am currently writing her tale. She has been giving me trouble and protesting quite a bit, but I have a few surprises for her. And if that doesn’t work, I’ll be forced to trap her into marriage. It’s for her own good!

MBA&M: What inspired you to write about England, traitors, matchmaking and romance?

The months leading up to the passage of the Regency Act in 1811, which officially gave the Prince of Wales the control of the government in lieu of his ailing father, King George, were quite tumultuous. The King was clearly no longer able to rule but even to discuss this matter might be seen as treasonous. The war with France raged on, and Napoleon was looking supremely confident in his march across Europe. Nothing makes a better backdrop for romance than a little adventure and international intrigue!

MBA&M: Why write a romance during this era?

Ever since I read Pride and Prejudice in junior high I have loved the Regency time period. It is a wonderful time in history with great political turmoil, high manners and societal rules, and a great wardrobe! I would love to sweep across a ballroom floor in a sumptuous Regency gown! If I had a time machine, I would definitely travel to the Regency and enjoy learning how they really lived.

Reader Question: If you had a time machine, where would you go?

a winter weddingMY THOUGHTS:

A WINTER WEDDING by Amanda Forrester is an intriguing Regency Historical Romance set in 1810. # 3 in the “Marriage Mart” series, but can be read as a stand alone. Filled with adventure, romance, traitors, matchmaking, spies and passion.

An arrogant Duke and a gutsy companion found more than they bargain for, in “A Winter Wedding”, but not more than they can handle, including a bit of fun. I enjoyed this series. While, it is faith based, it is not “preachy”, but filled with energy, romance, and yes, passion.

Another light-hearted, witty, delicious romp through England, with a spy or two, twists and turns, any reader is sure to delight in reading.

What a delightful series, this has been. I look forward to the next grand adventure. It was great to see how Penelope Rose and James Lockton, the Duke of Marchford story comes together and ends. A must read!
